If the JLA gets Made how would you design the Costumes?????

Maybe it's too much "Power Rangers", but at least they look different and Superman can have a disguise without using just a pair of glasses.
By the way, Batman's armor is an homage to the batmobile of the TV series!

WW armor is awesome! and thats not steel it's supes.

I finished my second wave of movie costumes. Check it out:

Hawkgirl is based on jmc's design, Hawkman and GA were both cobbled together from various parts, Robin and Atom drew from eliwingz's design, Black Canary is kind of taken off Smallville, and for Red Tornado I tried to make him look more robotic. Zatanna is the only one that I didn't change at all.

Hmph. I forgot to give Robin eyes like everyone else.

no thanks... Superman doesn't even have blue anymore

That's the point. it's supposed to black, not blue. if you read my post, you would realize that i was presenting them like GI Joe and the Xmen series because we were dicussing earlier how it would be they decided to drop the costume and go with all black leather.

not necessarily leather...

but regardless...i'm against it droppping the colors and going all black...i just wanted to do a manip cuz i was bored. i'm working on another all black one.

My first thought: Leave the yellow bat on Barbara's costume where it belongs. (I know you're just having fun.) Man, and all-black JLA WOULD be lame.

lol, this is why we need to keep Bryan Singer away from this franchise :p

the yellow was interesting. it was totally random, but i ended up liking it. originally i was gonna do a different shade of gray, either lighter or darker than the rest, so as a a marker, i gave it a random color so that when i darken the rest, i would still be able to see it. i happened to pick yellow, and thought it was kinda cool. well to stay with the rest of the characters...the superman symbol color stayed, flash, GL, the yellow in WW, so that's why i wanted the bat symbol out stand out. so while i don't want the all black, if it happened, i would go with the yellow oval with a black bat.

red tornado looks pretty cool.

Here’s the thing about a superhero costumes: When you have a solo hero, it makes sense that the filmmakers try to make the costume appear to work in the real world. This is what they tried to do with Spider-Man, the FF and especially with Batman.

But when we’re talking about the world of the Justice League, now we’re entering into a world that is not really like ours anymore, where costumed heroes have become trendy, crazy villains and alien invasions appear every other week, and colorful costumes can be more of an accepted norm.

The X-Men are more of an exception, I think, because they were originally conceived as a team rather than individual heroes like the JLA and the Avengers, and a lot of the problems that the X-Men face are allegorical to real-world issues.

can't agree with the second paragraph. i think all the filmmakers try to make the superheroes in a "real world" just to make them relatable, and i think that extends to the JLA world also. so i think you have a very good point in the first paragraph, but i think it should also include JLA, even if it was set in fantasy world. even the hobbits, elves, and warriors had a sense of "realism" even if set in the fantasy world.

i didn't really like the X-men suits, but since the movies were really good, it's something i was willing to look over. same with the OP flames. SWAT armour makes more sense than black leather.

JUSTICE by Alex Ross & Jim Krueger. I haven't read it yet, but late in the series the whole league dons wacky armor for some reason.
I haven't read it either, but I think the armor is actually the Metal Men.

i hope that some concept art pics will leak. i want to know how they wanted them to look. maybe even leaked pic of the real suits.

yea thats what i hope to if jla is totally dead while miller's vision that is. Hopefully maybe after SAG stuff is settled they will give it another go and start up again later this year early next year with new crew/director/etc.. But hopefully someone at weta comes out with miller's costumes so we could have seen where they were going with the characters.

Yea, I also agree with the first part, Jordacar, but I don't think the realism goes out the window simply because there are a lot of superheroes; the filmmakers will try to design all the costumes to look realistic to help bring the audience into the world of the heroes, and a lot of heroes in the room doesn't change that. When they make the Avengers movie, I know they will look to Ultimates for inspiration on the costumes.
