Sequels If they used The Green Goblin in the sequels, he should look like this....

Something similar to this:

But with a mask instead of prosthetics

I'm thinking that Green Goblin should look like a hybrid of these:

other than the ears that is sooo much better than what we got

Wow,that makeup mask would of been awesome. If they would of used it we wouldn't of had New Goblin either.

Modify the ears a bit, make the eyes visible (but yellow), and I think it could work well on screen.

Im wandering why they released footage of this unused mask.Maybe because they are gonna use it for the sequel and they want to see what fans think.

underneath the test make-up , is the owner of the company that was doing the R&D. The same company ended up creating the mask for the film , but in the beginning it was being considered with prosthetics...

Mr. Dafoe was not cast at the time of the test.
Those mentioning the hat.... to be longer and such.... there is no hat in the video. What is visible is the mechanical housing for the cervo's that control the mechanics to the forehead and upper brow...

The hat was to cover the housing, and of course , be a lot longer... and contain the widow peak and side burn covers as well....

sorry but if they were planning on using this, in the future I think it would be less likely to have been released

why they would release this now is beyond me

maybe they weren't allow to release it as long an that series of films were still on going, but, with it being semi rebooted, it no longer matters

How do you know?

does it matter?

i'm obviously new to these forum things , but a friend of mine sent me a link towards this discussion...

Perhaps the guys that built this test are showing their technical capabilities to try and impress someone that is beginning a future project.... showing that it is possible to do it with and actor and look real... does not have to be cgi..

It may not have anything to do with the spiderman franchise at all... after all , the new spiderman went cgi with their villain...

I was never a fan of the decisions made from Sam Raimi... Toby?... that "TOO" finished spiderman suit that a kid would never be able to build... web from the wrists?... and the first time i saw the green goblin , i knew that it wasn't my cup of tea. Can't argue with it making money , but that doesn't mean that it was a good movie for me. Over-rated crap... but that is me...

The reboot makes a lot of sense to me...

Even if they go the route of having the Goblin turn into a Goblin like in Ultimate, then he should look like the classic version and they should use that mask for the look.

Watched The Grinch last night, and when he was in the santa hat, jacket, and booties,I can see the Green Goblin looking scary and faithful to the comics.

I don't think the look is the problem as much as giving a good reason why he would realistically want to dress in such a manner.
