It's no worse than the typical British Constitutional Crisis involving a member of the royal family having naughty pictures posted in the tabloids or a minister performing some illegal political chess move in one of the Houses. From the news coverage they make it seem like the entire Commonwealth is about to crumble to its knees sometimes.

Oh dear. Did i touch a nerve? Still, it's nice to know you have one. :oldrazz:

Also, if the final battle was in Washington, we wouldn't have had Phoenix's destruction as shown in the storyboards as that was in SF with her parting the waters of the bay. At what point in the story would she have carved a path through the city and then through the water?

We didn't get that anyway, so bring on Washington

Well obviously, if the battle took part in Washington we wouldn't see her causing destruction in San Francisco now would we? Brilliant! :oldrazz:

If however you're referring to parting the waters, well then Washington DC does have bodies of water that the great almighty Phoenix could part as well. And Washington DC may not be as picturesque as San Francisco but is a city nonetheless that Jean could have trashed. But wait!

[hears barking sounds]

What is it Lassie? [leans down to listen?]

What's that? [bark bark bark] Jean didn't part the waters? And she didn't destroy the city? [bark bark] She didn't do either of those things in X3? Guess there's no excuse why the battle HAD to have been filmed at Alcatraz then! :p

and the stroyboards for SF destruction might have been done later (after the changes), to give an idea of what happended when Jean went crazy in SF. We can't assume Jean would travel to SF to do that and then come back to Washington.

I really really wish I got my hands on the original script for X3. And people still say Ratner has no blame on this mega tragedy. tsk tsk...

I don't think anyone believes Ratner 'has no blame'. It's just that it's difficult to see who has most blame! Obviously, Ratner has to take some blame for a movie that he directed.

But, as for who is to blame, was it Bryan for jumping ship to Warner? Fox for failing to keep him? Marsden? Rothman? Arad? Shuler-Donner? Kinberg? Penn? Marvel itself?

I've seen some people saying Ratner has no blame because he arrived late. And we do know that yes, he did arrive late, but he did do some changes as well. And the pace of the film (one of the movie's biggest fault, if not the biggest fault, according to fans, general audiences and critics) falls entirely on his back. Heck, I've seen people saying they would like Ratner to come back.

Yes, lots of people have some blame. I was just stating that Ratner is one of them.

Agreed! I believe he said he had a short attention span and that he get's bored easily while watching a movie. Maybe that's why he chose to tell most anticipated x-men movie with over 889290389 mutants in 30 minutes.

These absurd reasoning by ntcrawler and Thewheepeople over this movie is absolutley ridiculous.

With ntcrawler returning, it may be time for me to make my departure.

I just don't know how long I can stand the whole "Wolverine's velocity wasn't enough to break him through the ceiling, and fall back down through it" or "the bridge should have crumbled" nonsense.

It's absolutley astounding that fans of science fiction, fantasy, and comic books, can actually even pretend to call these valid complaints.

But not only do we have these complaints, but we have the absolute lovefest of everyone who hates this movie over how great they are, and how great their logic is.

This is a level of self ego and self love that I don't know that I can tolerate any longer.

Have you ever thought that maybe this silly nitpicks aren't the reason they dislike the film, but it's nothing more than an attempt at proving some of the ppl around here just can't let things go?

Having talked to NT outside the hype (via IM) i'm sure velocity isn't a reason he dislikes the film. ;)

Hell i doubt it's a reason for anyone excpet my step -dad since he hates Sci-fi period.

All it shows is that some ppl around here tend to get too personal and just can't let the little things go. Aside from disliking a film who's source i'm a huge fan of (which i don't consider a little thing :o) Some of us need to let certain things go.

So i'm sure that while you continue to fight the "nitpick" they'll continue to prove how some ppl just love watching themselves ramble on.

So call it on our side, same can be said for your side. :)

I'm sorry, but the excessive nitpicking and the response about "medication" is just classic.

I'm still waiting for someone to tell me where X3 ever once indicates Magneto is on the East Coast with the bulk of the Brotherhood.

I'm still trying to figure out why people who enjoyed the film are still posting in these threads?

I hardly ever fight or complain on here but for you to come in a thread dedicated to the members who dislike the movie and can talk about it in here and to say these things is absurd. There are threads for praisers and there are threads for angry fans. Its like going to an Atheist convention and trying to talk about Jesus (no offense intended to anyone). It's nice to try but it otherwise pointless and not needed. This thread is for complaints about the movie, not complaints about the members who are complaining about the movie. You come in here along with a couple of others and get offended when someone bites back at you when you are invading their space and pushing your thoughts. My two cents. Peace.

It is? Sounds like you're trying to avoid the issues. Instead of proving them otherwise you instead resort to the classic tactic of declaring them ridiculous and try to set them aside. I'm sorry though, but they just won't go away. Confront them, face them, and debate them.

With ntcrawler returning, it may be time for me to make my departure.

Aww, but Nell! You're one of the reasons why I came back! Now you'll hurt my feelings...

I just don't know how long I can stand the whole "Wolverine's velocity wasn't enough to break him through the ceiling, and fall back down through it" or "the bridge should have crumbled" nonsense.

If it's nonsense then why is it causing you so much stress? if it really is as light-hearted as you try to claim it is, then why do you react like you want to rip your computer monitor out and hurl it through a window? Just Admit it. They messed up and the sheer ridulousness of it bothers you as much as it bothered me :D

It's absolutley astounding that fans of science fiction, fantasy, and comic books, can actually even pretend to call these valid complaints.

On the contrary. Good science fiction is supposed to be thoughtful, consistent, and reflect some logical extension of the concepts of science. Same with comic books based on science fiction. Even good fantasy requires things to be consistent and logical and not resort to tactics that insult the audience or "cheat" just to accomplish some plot point and hope the audience didn't notice.

But not only do we have these complaints, but we have the absolute lovefest of everyone who hates this movie over how great they are, and how great their logic is.

Well obviously, since FOX and its crew demonstrated how bad THEIR logic is. Don't try saying again that people hate this movie and say so because it's fashionable or vogue. It isn't. The freedom to be able to express one's displeasure, especially as a consumer on whose business and satisfaction companies like FOX depends on is a true mark of freedom that makes the entertainment industry - and capitalism - possible. People shouldn't be intimidated to like something just because someone tells them to. In fact, as I said before, it's this kind of noise and mobilization that's the only way to ensure that the people as consumers will get what they want.

This is a level of self ego and self love that I don't know that I can tolerate any longer.

I consider it to be a greater example of ego that instead of debating and discussing something, you declare certain topics or concepts too ridiculous or not worthy of you to engage or discuss.
Self love? What's wrong with that? Isn't that one of the most important laws to live by? That of loving others as you love thyself? :)

Oh dear. Did i touch a nerve? Still, it's nice to know you have one. :oldrazz:

Hey X-Maniac, I love your sig block. How does it go again? Oh yeah:

"We live in an Age of Darkness - it's called the X-forums. Only intelligence and reason will light the way."

Cute! And Lemme guess. Nell2ThatIzzay, who according to his occupation / title is "Voice of Reason", will be the one to light the way. :woot:

Good point Chaseter. I've used similar analogies to point out how absurd it is for X3 lovers to constantly come in these types of threads and bash the people who hate X3.

So Nell is still getting agitated by all of the haters complaints? I was originally hesitant about adding him to my ignore list because I use to think he was level headed but, this post only confirms that I made the right decision. Overall, I find it quite amusing that someone who sounds so convinced that X3 is such a great movie could get this enraged when people criticize it. My suggestion for Nell is to add me and all the other haters to his ignore list since he can't handle the stress of reading anymore criticisms of X3.

I still can't believe he wouldn't shut the f*** up about that. :D

The notion of street cred is completely lost on good ol' Bret, isn't it?

So with that sig block X-Maniac is suggesting that all of the people who post in the X-forums are ignorant and yet he continues to contribute to the forum on a daily basis? I guess it's not that surprising in regards to all the other bizzare and hyprocritical things said by this guy.

Yeah, that bugs me too. A bit selfish, actually, imo. I don't know what happened to you X-Maniac, but I believe you happen to become obsessive.
How about if I type in my sig, "I'm La_She-Beast, the white/blue dove of peace in the X-Forums" ¬¬

Who knows? :D :p

I don't know if that was a compliment or not lol eenyweeys:hyper:

It was a compliment with a side order of "tongue-in-cheek"
:)

^
I'd like to add my self to that compliment. I mean send it towards not recieve. :p

Who knows? :D :p

I don't know if that was a compliment or not lol eenyweeys:hyper:

So wait we arn't changing our sigs? :csad:

*looks down*
