Owens went on the main roster while holding the title and I can only hope he attacks Lesnar after his match with Goldberg. Oh, fantasy booking. :D

Just watched NXT Takeover: Toronto. Pretty fun show. I enjoyed Roode/Dillinger, Joe/Nakamura and especially The Revival/DIY. The Revival is my favorite tag team by far in wrestling today, and I could watch these two teams wrestle for hours on end. Sad to see my boys lose the belts, but this was one of only two logical endings. Either DIY finally got over the hump, or Ciampa needed to turn on Gargano.

I felt like the show peaked at the tag title match, which I thought was likely to happen to begin with, but everything was good on the show. The rest of the show just wasn't as good as DIY vs The Revival though.

The show peaked with Roode and Nakamura's entrances. :awesome:

Roode easily get Entrance of the Year.

I agree. The tag title match was a classic, but I wasn't into the women's title match as much as some, and even though I liked the main event, it didn't quite measure up for me either.

Such a great PPV - which really is the norm for NXT these days.

I see all these performers on NXT, and seriously have to wonder if the wrestlers really have no desire in going to one of the bigger shows, which usually tends to water down opportunities and reduce wrestling matches to more a paint by numbers routine.

I generally love the NXT crowds too. I don't mind a bit of meta. NXT certainly feels like the new generation ECW.

The only real criticism I have is that the ending of AOP / TM61 fell really flat and brought down what I thought was a good match.

I really feel like they need to move the match order around.

I totally get the logic behind the 3 title matches going on last.

However, the Women's Matches have been getting absolutely killed in terms of crowd heat when sandwiched between the Tag Matches and World Title Matches.

We've had:

•Takeover London: Bayley/Nia Jax was sandwiched between Enzo & Cass vs Revival and Balor vs Joe 1

•Takeover Dallas: Bayley/Asuka was sandwiched between Nakamura vs Zayn and Balor vs Joe 2

•Takeover The End: Asuka/Nia Jax was sandwiched between Revival vs American Alpha 2 and Balor vs Joe in a Cage

•Takeover Brooklyn 2: Bayley/Asuka 2 was sandwiched between DIY vs The Revival and Nakamura vs Joe 1

-And here, Asuka/Mickie James gets sandwiched between a truly epic Tag Title match and Joke vs. Nakamura II.

I know one of those match orders is different (Dallas) but man its really not benefitting the women to go out in what typically is the death spot match on a normal WWE PPV. It affects the viewing crowd at home and the audience in the building.

That awkward moment when you realize NXT Takeover has Wrestlemania entrances...

The Revival vs DIY was my match of the night.

I don't think The Revival get enough credit for just how good of a heel tag team they are. They can really tell a story in the ring. All their tag title feuds have been solid. The American Alpha and DIY feuds in particular have been very good and delivered five star matches at two Takeover events.

It would be great to The Revival go to the main roster as they could really elevate either rosters tag divisions given the chance to continue what they have been doing on NXT.

I want to see Bobby Roode's entrances get more and more bombastic and over the top at each PPV. I was slightly disappointed by the Dillinger vs Roode match. There was a lot of chops, punches and not a whole lot else. It feels like Dillinger and Roode have both had there movesets severely limited for some reason.

Askua heel turn?

I would agree on The Revival - Dash and Dawson do good work and it gets said a lot but they are that old school cut the ring off beat you in the face tag team

It is a testament to how likable Tye Dillinger is that he can have a popped collar and top knot without coming across as a total *****ebag.

great point

I like him, granted hes become NXTs new CJ Parker, but someone has to have that spot

I didn't notice it until I watched WhatCulture's latest video, but DIY and The Revival wore the same colors than Bret/HBK wore during the Montreal Screwjob.

I was thinking about this, do you think they'll reference the screw job tonight?

I wouldn't put it past them to talk about it at some point.

But man, Jericho and Owens were hilarious here on the Pre-Show.

So why did Luke Harper have to lose that match exactly?
