The only MCU character I can tolerate with Spidey at this point is Daredevil, Deadpool, or Blade (only if Morbius is involved).

This one makes more sense. Especially given Mr Negative is a villain. He brings out Savage Hulk in Banner, we have an action set piece similar to Widow running from Banner with Punisher and Spider-Man having to figure out how to stop him, etc. I can see this clearly and it's fun

I hope you’re right; I’m not familiar with that character but I’ll take your word for it. It would be hard to make a worse movie than Brave New Turd, so there’s that.

I can see it a few ways. Maybe Banner starts off as Joe Fixit and Punisher is in a war on his crime syndicate. There is a great issue of Daredevil where he is trying to stop a Hulk rampage, and you can do that with Spider-Man and Punisher. Sort of like that time Kraven and Punisher teamed up against Man-Spider. Both characters have history with Spider-Man. So... I am cool with this

Punisher and Hulk still seem like such a random pairing for a Spiderman movie. To me at least.

Punisher made his debut in a Spider-Man comic so I could see it. I'd prefer Daredevil in the mix instead of Hulk though.

The cynical side of me thinks that Punisher is a replacement for Daredevil. Like, maybe the writers thought Daredevil would be too expected by everyone so Punisher would swerve people’a expectations.

I love you Daredevil, but I think Johnny Storm is the best choice for Spider-Man 5 guest star.

I wouldn't be surprised if that's the first time we see Johnny (and the rest of the FF) after Secret Wars.

They're already over the non-Spidey character quota.

Punisher and Hulk being in this have more or less squashed my fear of Jean being Sadie Sink's character. Not that I don't think Sink would be able to play her because she'd probably kill it but I'm just not a fan of the new MCU Jean being randomly introduced in a Spider-Man movie. I'd much prefer her character to be Gwen or even Mayday.
