She is totally killing this show for me. I am a fan since the very first episode and I will never quit watching, BUT, this whole story line with Lana and now her sceret agent hidden cameras on Lex schtickt?? Give me a damn break. How did she manage to either install(camera on Lexs screen) or patch into existing close circuit(rest of the house)? One more rant and i'm done, Chloe meteor freak??? Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks like they're reaching for storylines with this. I honestly think we here in this thread can come up with better story lines than the crap they are feeding us. It may not have jumped the shark yet, but it for damn sure is taking it's final approach and lining up with the ramp. GET BACK TO SUPERMAN IN TRAINING!!!!! What has this season done so far as to bring us something new(with Clark, not Kara)? As a matter of fact, when WAS the last time we got something new? I can read into the mythos that he is now realizing that he is meant for greater things, but we knew that already. Sorry for the rant, and I know there are those out there who disagree, but you know somewhere down deep, you kind of agree.

We've had one scene where Lois gives Clark some sort of "he is cute, nice, hot," and we are four episodes in without her.

I think Lana should have died instead of Jonathan Kent damnit. That to me was the biggest f^ck up in the series. He should have told her his secret, she dies, he goes back to fix it, doesn't tell her, and she still dies, proving that not even Clark can fight fate. And he would have had to live with the guilt of her never knowing who he is, and I'm a fan of both Kents being alive and in Supermans life, so thats what I think.

I don't want to make this an argument thread, but what purpose does she serve? As I said in my first post, I can see about possibly tapping in to the close circuit (security cameras) maybe, but this is Lex Luthor. How is he going to be tricked by a 20 year old cheerleader? he didn't stay because of lana. Jor-el told him to stay so he could keep an eye on kara. Staying is part of his training, IMO. Lana just happened to come back. But Clark didn't decide to drop everything because of her. She's more of a bonus. As for popularity, the ratings have been very good so far so I don't think Lana is hindering the show yet.

I thought this also, but just her thinking she can pull this off is enough to make me think bullcrap. I need to take this show with a big chunk of salt when it comes to Lana and Lois and Chloe when it comes down to it. I love Ma kent and where they were trying to take her, but if they weren't gonna go the route of the blue haired old lady staying on the farm, they should have kept both Kents alive.

I know it seems futile to even respond to ridiculous rants like this... but since we know the producers read the boards, I hate to just let it go unanswered.

I'm learning that you can't argue logically with people who have deep attachment to this specific (and narrow) agenda... "make Clark SUPERMAN already, and get on with everything that goes with that!" But, since that's not going to happen the way they want in SV... temper tantrums are inevitable.

I'm not thrilled with where they are taking Lana either, but I can understand... she was put through hell... pushed to her limit, and she is fighting back. Unfortunately it looks like she has learned a little too much from Lex and Lionel. I really hope Clark can help pull her back.

She's a smart girl and since Season 1 she has demonstrated maturity beyond her years... She QUIT the pep squad because she thought it was shallow, ran a business with Lex as a partner, became an emancipated minor and paid her way to study abroad. She's been involved with the Luthors for over a year. I can see her pulling this off...

But, my guess... Lana did not come up with this elaborate surveillance system... it has Lionel's name written all over it. HE was about spying on Lex and recruited her to get even closer... to follow up on intelligence he found. She's a quick study and obviously he trained her well.

And since Lionel threatened Clark, and forced Lana into a horrible situation (on SO many levels) with Lex, I wouldn't be surprised if Lana has something to do with Lionels absence too.

Personally... I think what makes no sense is the inconsistent and TOTALLY ANTI-CLIMATIC way they have handled Clark and Lana's reunion. Do you realize we haven't even seen them kiss ONCE this season?! THAT's just WRONG!

Wow Captivated, are you talking about me? It's not a ridiculous rant nor do I have a deep attachment to any specific and narrow agenda. I'm not in a rush to make him the Man of Steel, but the corny I love Lana can't have Lana now I can have Lana but must let her go for her own goodness has ran it's course already. It's done. Tired of it after the 4th season. She's been a witch, a vampire, dead (literally) and last but not least a Luthor. The writers of this show have a goldmine In Michael Rosenbaum and can do so much better with his character than what they are doing. This show does nothing to "challenge" our viewership and seems to dole out freak of the week episodes regularly. I hope the producers do read this board and for God's sakes not the humdrum things you people write about how you "understand" where they are going. No, entertain me and not with the same recycled stuff you've been showing for the past 4 years.

A 7-year-long on-again-off-again-on-again-off-again-on-again relationship is becoming (actually, has been for a while now) a very tired plot point. Dude, you guys haven't been able to make it work since 9th grade. It ain't happening. Move on.
