In a little over a month I will have my 10 yr high school reunion and I NEED HELP!

The people I was even close to in high school, I'm still friends with. I couldn't care less of catching up with old aquaintences. If I was single, I'd try and hook up with some of my old crushes. Other than that, I have no other reason to go. :o

I sort of felt that way about my 10 year reunion. Come my 20 year reunion, though, and my attitude towards it all has changed.

...good luck with that...why did you wait till now?

Muscles, don't kill yourself with a last minute diet. Spend the money on a really great suit. Dress to kill and the ladies will come to you.

Unless his wife is standing next to him giving them dirty looks that say "stay away or I will KILL you, b1tch! :cmad: " :p

It's wierd... I'm still in touch with most of my high school friends... Then again I've only been out of high school for a year, when are they suppose to fade, like people keep telling me?

I didn't have a 10 year reunion, or i just didn't care about it. I think both are true.

I know I won't care about any reunion at my old high school.

I don't know what I'll feel in 9 years but I think it'd be fun to shoot the **** with people I haven't seen in years, a lot of people make a big deal about it... But I don't get it... It'd probably be just a nice night out and see what everyone else is up to, we can't all grow up to be millionaires, debonaires, or any kind of naire...

I'm not interested in keeping in touch with the people I went to HS with, I've seen some of them, not interested, the friends I had back then that I still talk to are the ones I consider friends

That's what's really puzzling me, he's talking about getting in shape to look good for all his old HS girlfriends and dancing with them (while dancing is innocent, add the other things he's talking about and it doesn't seem quite as innocent anymore).

I left the town I went to high school at a week after I graduated and never went back, so I sort of lost touch with most of those folks either immediately or over time.

Wait a few years, you're interests and their interests will change, you'll meet different people, have different lives, eventually you just sort of drift apart. I never had a big fight with my high school friends and we decided we'd never see each other again, we just sort of drifted apart, some got married and had kids, some moved, some I just lost touch with.

Okay,

Sorry for the Top 25 being put off, I will try to get the system up in the next few days.

HOWEVER! I have a much more important situation coming up. In September I will have my 10 yr high school reunion. It might shock some people but I use to be sexy!:wow:

I did football and track and field while in H.S. and was a bodybuilder, then as I went to college I became addicted to fast food like most college guys. It seemed like Mcdonalds was my breakfast, KFC my lunch and taco bell was my desert, with Pizza hut for my multivitamin.

So a week ago I a new treadmill and I have till Sept 15 to get in shape before the big day, where I will return! Right now I weight 228. So I am going on Alli pills and going to workout with my weights and jog on my new treadmill for over an hr.

I AM COMING BACK!:cmad:

You trying to get some that night or sumfin?

Show up dressed in your best Superman outfight. Pretend it's comic con, the girls will love it.

I've got an easier solution, let your wife eat non-stop till the event till she balloons....you buy yourself a nice, fit black tux, while not exercising a damn bit mind you, and you look that much better by default by standing next to her.

It's win-win.

Oh, and do the Popeye Jones "Make It Rain" move as you walk through the door.....classy.

if you can't do exercise to please your wife or at the very least your own health, then why are you doing it to gain positive affirmation from a bunch of people that once fell off your radar and probably will again?

where are your priorities?

my thoughts exactly

I've reconnected through many of my old classmates through myspace...and went to my 10 year reunion. It was fun because a lot of my old friends were there but I did meet a lot of people whom I only knew by face and through mutual acquaintances. Plus our reunion was a 3 day deal where we had a picnic/bbq on Thursday, casual get together at a private club on Friday and the actual reunion on Saturday.

Nowadays, I doubt my geneneration'll lose contact with that many people... i mean, with myspace and facebook, you can keep in touch til the end of time... or at least til time ceases to exist...

I'd say it certainly helps your chances. When I graduated, the internet was just starting to get into the universities and not everyone had email. There certainly wasn't a graphical web like we enjoy today (everything on the web was text based only via a web browser called Lynx). Now, almost everyone has an email account and can get access to the internet at least occasionally. It's also a part of our culture and kids are growing up with the technology in their homes so they are very familiar with using it to stay in touch with friends.
