Does anyone here read the UK magazine "Empire"? Someone posted on another board about an article they read in the mag concerning the movie:

This months EMPIRE states Hulk 2 is to be a sequel to the TV show...

Empire is the UKs top film mag..anyway it talks about the new Hulk film (due 2008) and it said that its not a reboot and not a sequel to Ang Lees film but more of a sequel to the 1970's tv show..plus its gonna be called "The Incredible Hulk"

It states that The Abomination will be the main villian (sorta like the two parter 'The First' then) and that the hulk will have a changed appearence in the movie (it hinted at it not being so big) plus that it will center on banner as he's going from job to job/town to town (like the tv show)...with more emphasis on the satisfaction element of seeing the bad guys get their comupance when they mess with banner

Also it stated that Bana probably won't return and the director (the guy who did Transporter 2) is looking at Jason Stratham and Donomic Purcell for Banner

Shame Robert Downy Jnr has just been cast as Iron Man as he'd have made a great banner....

Good news i think...hopefully they will include the eyes going white and some of the classic theme tune as well.

imdb.com

I don't really believe it myself because I haven't seen anything online.

How do you know Sava?
the Jason statham and Dominic purcell should be a clue. Jason is in no way attached to this film, they just printed what we were talking about like a month ago.

There's another negative report about this film. The Director has got in touch with us just for this reason and it seems he's more concerned in what the fans want than to try to over do it, which is why he's interested in our opinions lately before Zak Penn finishes the script.
Lets just wait for the real news LL promised he'd give us some as soon as all is go!

The TV show sucked. And this is coming from one of the worlds biggest Lou fans.

Yeah but the depressing suicidal music at the end made up for it.

Most of the crap on that article is pure BS. Leterrier already said he's taking the fugitive aspect of the TV series and using that the film amongst other things.

No! Please no! Sequel to Hulk with Bana (& Connelly), please, Louis, please!

BUT, if the movie sucks hard I don't wan't Bana near it. :yay:

But would it be a sequel to the last episode of the Hulk TV show or the TV movie Death Of The Incredible Hulk because in that one he died.

If this is accurate it is excellent news! The vast majority of movie goers who remember Hulk think in terms of the much beloved TV show. This is, in large part, why Ang Lee's Hulk didn't register with most people. The new movie could incorporate elements of the TV show that worked without looking cheap or overly derivative. Hulk should be smaller and more tactile. Should he be all-CGI? Not sure, but probably.

Hope it's pure bs. Purcell or Stratham as Bruce Banner?! You've gotta be ****in' kidding me! For Abomination, sure- yeah- maybe... but, the whole point is that Bruce Banner goes from being this small, "weak," timid guy who becomes this raging Hulk. If it was Purcell or Stratham, the transformation wouldn't have that much substance- it would be a built Bruce Banner becoming more strong than he already is to become the Hulk... anyways, if Purcell or Stratham ever got crap from anyone- both wouldn't have to become the Hulk to beat the crap out of them.

the tv show was great for what it was.It focused on the psycholigical elemnts of the character-which is ultimatly what 's appealing.Who wants to see a bunch of mindless "Hulk Smash" scenes??

I was worried until I saw the 'imdb.com' tag. They might as well announce Bea Arthur as Betty.
