Well the Crystal Skulls are real artifacts, some of which have been found already. They are believed to have some sort of powers and may hold information like a computer (think Superman's crystals). So I think it sounds pretty cool. Indy is once again going after something that is real and not a made up artifact. I for one can't wait for this movie.

yip. area 51. I'm afraid that aliens do feature in Indy 4...although, thankfully only ancient ones. The plot is about 13 magical crystal skulls...supposedly alien..and the soviets are after them for some reason. also Shia LeBoeuf plays a greaser who gets caught up in Indy's quest...its halfway through the movie until they realise they are father and son. (marion is the mom)

okay so the above is merely rumour...but its persistent...makes alot of sense, and I think thats the movie Indy 4 will be. theres a motorcycle chase through a university which is right out of saucer men...looks like some of that (mostly horrible) script has survived....I think Indy might be getting married at some point in this movie too (spielberg mentioned that old flames would make cameos...happens at the wedding in saucer men from mars.

Say it isn't SO!!!:cmad: :cmad:

What are your sources?!:cmad: :cmad:

The last page of this thread made me laugh pretty hard... it's so not complicated, guys.

seriously. How could "Mr Fedora" turn into Marcus Brody the man that got lost in his own museum:cwink:

That post about the title being revealed as "Indiana Jones and the City of The Gods" is that confirmed? I don't see it on the Indianajones.com website or comingsoon.net

I don't know! That's why I was getting so confused. I was sure the was no way Brody could've been 'Fedora'.

It's on IMDB, last time I checked.

wow. Ive got alot of comments to get through!! The legend of the crystal skulls....well its more than a legend. its a very real phenomenon. archeologists all over the world have found crystal skulls that defy all belief in how they were created. (theyre ancient but theres no evidence of cutting...not even laser..theyre made out of one piece of crystal only and thusly it should be physically impossible for them to exist without splitting. it therefore could be argued that whatever created them must have been more advanced than us)

I remember reading a story as a kid in one of these "unexplained phenomenon" type books about a crystal skull that would scream anytime it was moved. I really like this as an artifact for Indy....

if you wanna know more just run a search for crystal skulls...im sure theres probably tons of articles on the things...

what was that "Saucer men" script all about? Is it on the net? and btw... "Indiana Jones and the Saucer Men From Mars"? That´s the worst title somebody could think of.

"Indiana Jones And The Saucer Men From Mars" was a script commissioned by Lucas and penned by Jeb Stuart in 1995 (or 97 I really cant remember)

****

Ive read it....its very easy to find on the internet too. Its not a terrible script in itself, but it would definately be a dissapointing Indy movie after all this time.

I dont want to write a synopsis on the script, as that would take ages, but there were one or two good scenes in there. In that script Indy came face to face with an alien at the end though. The tone of the script was like an homage to 50's B movies. I'd expect Indy 4 to still follow suit.

If you want to read the scripts theres two very good indy fan sites...www.theraider.net and indyexperience.com lots of Indy news too from reliable sources. (thats where my info comes from)

INDIANA JONES AND THE CITY OF GODS was the title of Frank Darabonts rejected draft...parts of which remained in nathansons draft. parts of nathansons draft remain in koepps.

no one knows if COG is still the title, but it seems theres a strong chance that it will be. if not, the title may include the crystal skull idea

A bug rumour at the moment is that John Hurt will be playing Albert Einstein in the pic. The movies set in 57 though, so Im assuming only in flashbacks if true.

oh and those set pictures are for National Treasure 2, not Indy.

"Here boy! C'mere, crystal skull! C'mere!"

I think it sounds pretty stupid. I don't like aliens and Indy.:csad:

This film is nothing but a bloated vanity project headed by 3 greedy old men who don't care if they ruin the good name of what was once a great franchise.

Don't hold back, Fate. Tell us how you FEEL.

Of all the things that could go wrong with the film why is too much CGI one of them?

I heard Hurt will play Einstein, but... didn't Albert die in 1955 (two years before the movie take place)?

Now they're saying John Hurt could be playing Young Einstein?

Wow, the dude could probably pull it off without a hitch, but what purpose would the character serve in the film?

Lets see... TLC was what... 1938? Indy was probably in his late thirties... Indy 4 is early 1950's... so we are looking at a 50 something year old Indy and an old Albert Einstein... an age Ford can pull of quite easily... I am sure the beard will go and they will dye up that hair and take some years off of his appearance

Indy 4 takes place in 1957, so I have no idea how will they put Einstein in it, considering teh fact that he died in 1955. And I am not talking about Indy's age in new movie.
