George Lucas on Indiana Jones 4

MTV caught up with George Lucas who says that Indiana Jones 4 will prize dialogue over decibels.

"I think Tom Cruise proved that people are getting bored with that kind of stuff," Lucas said when asked about the action. "What they want to see is something different. And 'Indiana Jones,' if nothing else, is always different."

He says the script is finally done and the film will "probably" start shooting next year.

"We're working on it, we're working on it," Lucas added. "We've been working on it for 10 years. I think it'll be a great film, but it's completely different. It's still got a lot of action, and it's still very funny. I think it works like crazy."

i agree! let's not sugar coat the fact that this isn't the 1980s... I don't want to see IJ going up against a CGI created army of native aboriginis...run from CGI boulders...travel to CGI locations...and crawl through CGI snakes and insects!

one of the best parts of those movies were the scenes that were authentic! when has ANY sequel turned out great, NOT GOOD, not OKAY, but GREAT after a drought period of 5 or more years???

Yeah I'm with you, however I will see it no matter what, I owe that to being such a fan of IJ. I will like it too.... I'll make myself...I personally think that the should leave it be, but I think since it must come out I will greet it with open arms and hope to gad that Lucas/Speilburg suprise me with something good....Dude at least it's original cast...
