MTV caught up with George Lucas who says that Indiana Jones 4 will prize dialogue over decibels.

"I think Tom Cruise proved that people are getting bored with that kind of stuff," Lucas said when asked about the action. "What they want to see is something different. And 'Indiana Jones,' if nothing else, is always different."

He says the script is finally done and the film will "probably" start shooting next year.

"We're working on it, we're working on it," Lucas added. "We've been working on it for 10 years. I think it'll be a great film, but it's completely different. It's still got a lot of action, and it's still very funny. I think it works

So it wasn't enough that he ruined Star Wars - I don't care how much money the prequels made, he still ruined it - he has to ruin Indiana Jones too, this man who couldn't write decent dialogue to save his life. Damn him!

As long as he is not directing we should be fine.

Lucas, Speilberg and Ford all NEED this to work ... and be huge ... if they step up it will be awesome.

I'm afraid that's simply not possible. It will not work. It will not be huge (and does not deserve to be huge). It will not be awesome. :down

I have faith in this project, even though I disagree with it.

    A Trilogy was enough.
But I am looking forward to seeing this one.

The delay was because George wasn't satisfied with the script so they wanted to take some time to punch it up, so he added some fart jokes and Tarzan howls and now it's set to go.

Who created Star Wars? Who created Indiana Jones?

Even if you feel he ruined 'em, he also created them in the first place.

This movie needs to die. Why are we ressurrecting a franchise that ended on such a brilliantly high note? And 20 years after the fact? I am not interested in seeing Grandpa Indiana Jones on the big screen...that just taints my view of Indy...much like Hayden tainted my view of Vader.

No, there is a very vital and important point here. Even if you hate everything that Lucus had done, it is HIS world. He created the Star Wars universe...every villian, hero, planet, ship. The same is true for IJ. He could add in dancing monkeys and psycho clowns and you still can't say anything because it is HIS universe.

Besides, feeling that he "ruined" the prequels is just a matter of opinion. Sure he may have not chosen the right actors but I thought the prequels were amazing.

Uh, No. You can say ANYTHING you want to about it. When they wrote the movie "Gigli", it was THEIR world, THEIR characters...and then we can watch the movie and say "Wow, THEY sure did dumb-ass things with THEIR world and THEIR characters. THEIR world and characters sucked. I'm not going to watch THEIR world and characters on the screen ever again.
You would fit right in with the Nazis at theforce.net...lol, this insanity about "You can't say anything".

RiiIIIiiight, that's what uh, people are doing...stating their OPINIONS. Just like you stated your opinion, that the prequels were "amazing".

If you can say that they're "amazing", then someone else can say that they are "not amazing".

Why should I even have to explain this?

If a chef makes a cake, it's HIS cake, he's free to put any ingredients into it that he wants. But if he puts a bunch of cod liver oil and dog poo into the cake, and then hopes you'll eat a piece, that's when you're free to say, "Wow, you really ruined that cake you made."

    Get it?

Kurosawa did make a "non-point", because he acknowledged, "even if you feel like he ruined 'em"....but, no one was arguing against the fact that he CREATED it all in the first place. In fact, that's why they're holding him responsible.
    :confused:Total non-point.

Lucas can talk all he wants, this movie isnt going to happen. And be assured, nothing will ever beat Last Crusade.

This post is so idiotic that it does not warrant a serious response.

I still feel like it'll never happen. They've been trying to get it to happen for decades now.
