When viewing them as a trilogy, I never watch Temple first. And I doubt I ever will. I don't care what year Lucas slaps at the beginning of the film because he has a fetish for making things out of order.

Like Father, Like Son :indy:

I just pray Shia isn't the annoying, talkative side-kick he seems to be in all his movies. He's a good actor. He should show us some range and play something slightly different from his usual comfort zone.

i am pretty sure thats why spielberg got him.
its not like shia is the best actor at this age.
spielberg IMO saw something in TF that he could use in hes indy movie.

Shia only plays the insecure, sarcastic geek when called for it. He's done some decent stuff, but the directors that get him usually want him to play insecure sarcastic geek.

Didn't old Indy have a daughter in the tv series? or grand daughter?

Watch The Greatest Game Ever Played.

the greatest game ever played is actually very good, i loved it.

say what you will - but Transformers really showcases good acting from him...

he's talking about the ones that WONT shell out money because they think it'll already suck...:oldrazz:

...aka people like you who turn his words all around to make him sound like a greedy fat man.:word:

here's a quote from the article...

“The fans are all upset,” Lucas says. “They’re always going to be upset. ‘Why did he do it like this? And why didn’t he do it like this?’ They write their own movie, and then, if you don’t do their movie, they get upset about it. So you just have to stand by for the bricks and the custard pies, because they’re going to come flying your way.”

now you tell me where it says it's about the fans that "don't" shell out money?

All I'm saying is he should NOT put all the fans in the same group as the ones he's talking about. Fan's opinions vary...Most of the poeple I know think it's great that they are making a new one...and like the ideas they've been hearing. Just because most of the fans gave him **** on the Star wars prequels (which they had good right too) doesn't mean we don't have faith in the movie being awesome and trust the film makers.

Also earlier in the article Ford mentions how stubborn Lucas was because he was obssed with the crystal skull idea...and didnt' want any other "McGuffin." Which again I think was is his pride and ego getting in the way. But again...it's my opinion.

Do I think he's a greedy fat man....yes and no. I don't think he's a great writer though. He can come up with some good plots...but dialogue, and story structure, not great. Personally I feel the Indy franchise has more to do with Steven than Lucas...Steven put the heart and sole into Indy....Lucas just the meat.

I'm not one of those fans.... except with AOTC & the Alien sequels after Cameron's.
