Nothing's up with his hair. It fits the time period of the film.

AWESOME. THIS MADE MY NIGHT.

Anybody else still a little disappointed that Winstone is in this rather than the Sallah character? I don't know the story details, but still...

im not dissapointed that winstone is in it; but i am dissapointed sallah is NOT in it...

Well, Sallah has only ever appeared in Indiana Jones movies that have involved the Middle East.

The only restriction on Sallah appearing in all of the Indiana Jones movies is Lucas.

That's the spirit! Part of the good thing about Kingdom is that it'll make Doom feel less like an oddity and more like a unique adventure. So no Sallah or Brody in this installment, but we got Marion.

Raiders: Primarily Middle East setting with a Biblical artifact, Marion, Sallah, Brody, South American prologue, Nazis
Doom: Wholly Asian setting, Hindu artifact, Thugees, Chinese gangsters, mercenary Indy, Indy is an "adoptive" father
Crusade: European / Middle East setting with a Biblical artifact, Nazis, Sallah, Brody, Prologue spanning from Indy's childhood, deals with his own father
Kingdom: Older and wiser Indy, Marion, South American setting, Russians, likely prologue set in the US, "alien" artifact and potential flesh-and-blood son

Yeah because there is no possible way Sallah could leave the Middle East due to his parole restrictions.

He does have like 8 kids or something doesnt he. He cant just leave to be somebody's sidekick.

EDIT- In retrospect they should all be adults approximately by now in continuity so nevermind

nice new shot of the warehouse, did any one notice the numbers on the warehouse door..... looks like the rumor of ..... is correct.

I recall that the screenwriter didn't want to make it this "fanboy" script so Sallah was left out for this one. If any of us were to write an Indy movie or collaborated you'd probably find a way to include Sallah because he's a favourite but maybe it doesn't fit the story. Having him back for Crusade made sense.

Why does he have to wear those old man baggy pants? Why do I have such a bad feeling about this movie? (Maybe because I just saw a bit of AOTC...)

I don't get why people are up in arms about this still. GEORGE LUCAS IS NOT DIRECTING THE MOVIE. Steven Speilberg, the man who has given us 3 great other Indy films, plus countless others, IS. Lucas wrote the story, not the screenplay. He's written the story for all the Star Wars movies, even the GOOD ones. The man may not be a great director, but he can tell a good story when he needs to. And Speilberg rarely makes bad films. At it's worst, this will be the worst Indiana Jones film. But that doesn't mean it will suck.

The worst of the Indy films maybe but any Indy film will be better then many other films you have seen and with Indys absence for many year could garantee big opening weekend box office number due to there not being a sequel for so long.
Only The Dark Knight and Iron Man are on my must see list over INDY 4.
And Indy Could be second best 2008 film behind The Dark Knight.

The Asylum strikes again:

Some blurbs from the new Indiana Jones Handbook

1. In a blurb about Crystal Skulls, it says they were found in the EARLY 20th century and that so far only 5 of a possible 12 skulls have been found

2. There is a section on rocket sleds and how to avoid the enemy on barren government facilities. It says the sled can be a great way to evade capture. Sounds like Indy will use the seld in the movie.

3. It explains how to escape quicksand by whipping a tree and pulling yourself out.

4. How to break free if you are tied up. There was some stories that Indy was captured in the new movie so this might reference that.

5. A section on insects talks about 4" ants and giant mosquitos.

These two might be the biggest things...

6. There is a section that talks says if confronting an ALIEN to "do as Indy" and get the heck out of there.

7. How to Survive a Nuclear Blast - get indoors and if you are "lucky enough to be within striking distance of a REFRIGERATOR, get inside."
