If always been a DC guy, I guess it's now just official. Batman always been my fav superhero/comic book character and Batman Begins is what pulled me back into the DC stuff. I've been filling my shelve with the 'essentual' trades for awhile now, so it's time to take the next step. Should be fun!

Very cool. I was prepping myself about a year before Batman Begins when I inadvertently got back into comics in a big way!

Also, side note: I was reading the review for the IC Companion at dccomics.com and they said what I thought was true, that the Villains one-shot is basically IC #6 1/2. So it does come b/w 6 & 7.

UPDATE~! I now have a running order with my not-so-local comic shop for the following:

I've up to date with Batman, Detective, Mad Monk, All-Star, 52 and JLA. The others, the lastest next issue will be the first I get.

That's a pretty good pull list. I would tell you to drop All Star, but since it only comes out twice a year, it's cool.

Why drop All-Star? It's only just got going. Give it a chance...

1-3 issues is generally all you need to tell the quality of a title, I've found. If you don't find something you like in the first 1-3 issues, you're probably not going to find anything enjoyable in the remaining issues.

Besides, if it actually shipped on time, All Star would be up to issue 7 by now.

Well I haven'y actually started read them yet, so I can't judge. What characters are in it? How are they different to normal?

Also is Legends any good. I don't know why I ended up getting it, damn charismatic shop owner...

So far, there's been Batman, Alfred, Dick, Vicki, and Black Canary (and Superman saying "Damn!"). The characterization of Batman is really extreme. He's...basically a complete *******. That, along with the so far slow plot progression turned a lot of people (including myself) off to the book.

Jim Lee's art is fantastic, though. Probably his best yet. I still buy it cause of that, and, like I mentioned before, it only comes out twice a year anymore.

Also is Legends any good. I don't know why I ended up getting it, damn charismatic shop owner...

Not really, actually. And it's been replaced by Confidential in a couple months anyway...

If you're looking for another Bat-related book, Nightwing should be pretty fantastic for the next year or so with Marv Wolfman writing.

Miller's said the Joker will be in it. So far he's not been mentioned in any of the upcoming solicits, though.
