Infinity War Infinity War will be one movie instead of two!

If Marvel had gotten back the FF, maybe part 2 could be about Dr Doom who usurps Thanos's power.

I cannot think of anything more anticlimactic than building up a villain for six years across various movies and then having an (for all intents and purposes) new character dispose of him and take his place in the big finale.

The people who were already saying Marvel was wasting everyone's time by dragging out this Thanos subplot for so long would have a field day.

"Part 2" will still be about Thanos. It will be what we have been anticipating all this time: the big battle. Part 1 will build up to that without acting as the first half of essentially the same film.

I think Infinity War will be more about the gems than Thanos.

Remember the gems are powerful artifacts capable of destroying planets. Guardians and Avengers will likely both be looking for them. Infinity War will maybe be the race to get to the gems before Thanos. But in the end he ends up getting them anyway.

Perhaps they can even do a Civil War type deal where Avengers and Guardians are arguing on Visions fate since one is IN his head.

I read this post on Reddit a couple days back:

I really think it makes sense that...

Avengers 3: Infinity War... Thanos defeates the original Avengers, but seeds have been planted for new members to take the battle to avenge the original team.

New Avengers: Unity Is the 4th film... Doctor Strange, Guardians of the Galaxy and the new avengers led by Black Panther, Captain Marvel assemble a new cast to rescue captive Avengers and avenged the ones defeated. I can see some help from Celestials or cosmic beings...
Intriguing... As long as they do not dispose of any of the four primary original heroes (IM, CA, Hulk, Thor) until the end of the second film, I would be fully content with this concept.

Defeated or possibly captured, I could see but yeah there is no way they'd kill any of them until the second installment. I like the idea, though the only problem is I don't think the "Big 6" line-up will be seen in the movie, at least not as it was originally. You have all these new players like Falcon, Scarlet Witch and Vision who I assume will still be there (especially since Scarlet Witch is probably on the run with Cap).

Then I think, should they choose to kill anybody off without hesitation, they should take time to examine the weaker and more useless characters first, like Black Widow and Hawkeye.

That doesn't add anything to the tension or make Thanos look more impressive. That just means they killed the member of the team everyone else already assumed would be the casualty.

I remember when everyone on here kept saying Black Widow or Hawkeye would be the Avenger who died in AOU because they were the weakest ones and it'd make Ultron look tougher.:funny:

Avengers: Thanos Imperative

or

Marvel Ultimate Alliance :wow:

Avengers: Infinity Gauntlet

Avengers: Infinity War

I think that would be fun. First movie consists of a serious history of the infinity stones, Thanos' back story, his motives, and the avengers trying to stop the "Thanos Quest"

then the second film can be a combination of introducting the new avengers, and mixing elements from Starlin's entire Infinity Saga, starting from Infinity Gauntlet, all the way to "The End"
