I reckon at the end of the Infinity War, the Fantastic Four will come through a portal and join the fight against Thanos. What better way to announce Marvel have the rights back to their 'first family' than through Infinity War: the biggest Marvel movie there will ever be?

Well, not really since there's a chance Marvel gets the rights to the Fantastic 4.

Within the next few months so that they can cast four actors as the team so they can appear in the ending of Infinity War? And that Avengers 4 (which is currently filming) will be rewritten to heavily feature the FF and serve as their debut? Yeah. Batman is about as likely.

Actually, they're saving the Fantastic Four reveal for the Agents of SHIELD movie...

I still maintain the best way to introduce the Fantastic Four is to introduce Reed Richards as a consultant - not as a post-credit scene or anything like that, just someone they ask for help. In that scene, he'll give needed exposition, but he'll also use his powers (stretching to reach for a book or a particular piece of machinery, etc.) and everyone will be weirded out by that, but they don't overplay it (maybe just as light comedy). Then they go on their way.

If people like him, they'll consider a Fantastic Four movie in the future, but we should dip our toes with the FF in the MCU before we dive in or make promises we can't deliver.

Following Civil War & the Accords Ross has to limit use of the Avengers. A threat is detected approaching Earth. Or they find the wormhole Banner traveled through. He goes to the Baxter Building to meet with Reed. Reed puts together a team. They set out to investigate a worm hole on the other side of the moon.

Thanos ship appears. F4 are knocked into the worm hole and contact is lost. Ross approaches Avengers and makes note of a previous team that saw side effects blah blah. IFW story continues. Viola groundwork is laid for F4 to support Avengers and get their own movie.
