MAN, I JUST HOPE THEY'LL HAVE A WAY OF SCREENING/FILTERING WHAT PEOPLE UPLOAD FOR 'LIVE'. I DON'T WANT TO SEE SOMEBODY'S PENIS OR BUNGHOLE RUNNING AROUND SHOOTING AT ME.(

If the program can't find the eyes, nose and mouth, it fails to generate a picture.

The guy said he "tried it himself" (take that as you will) and he claims the program rendering was so distorted, you couldn't tell what it was.

I was excited about all this before, but holy cow!! After seeing those pictures of how accurate it really is, I have to say I cannot WAIT for this!

How great it'll be to see my roommates laying on the floor in a puddle of their own virtual blood.....mwahahaha.

I could not help but to burst out laughing.

Yeah, I'm sure there's some way we can bypass it to get our Johnsons seen around the world, and it probably won't take it long to figure it out, but think of the children, will ya?

There's always video chat and custom gamerpics

wow, it's amazing... the ps3 copies the 'home' button and the tilt feature, and it's like, the worst thing to ever happen, and sony is doomed, blah blah blah. but, the xbox copies the eyetoy and it's okay?

hipocrits, the lot of you.

Cool... Capt. Kirk/Kevin Pollack will be shooting you online soon

Sony didnt invent the webcam :o

no, but they were the first to put it on a console, and microsoft's shown no interest in doing anything with a camera until now.

also, microsoft wasn't the first to put a button on their controller that took you to too a main menu... PC keyboards have been doing virtually the same thing for years.

but, of course, microsoft did it, then sony did it, and it's copying. microsoft copies the eyetoy, and you guys look the other way.

surprising.

ROFL... OWNED.

I remember that too... I even wasted the money on it :(

The time lapse function was pretty cool though.

Rainbow Six Vegas with face mapping... sweet. I can finally be a virtual badass.

I've used the Eyetoy, and I'm gonna have to say that whether or not they used it right is definitely up for dispute...it isn't exactly the most responsive of peripherals.

Not to mention, using it to mask your face on your game characters is a great way to use it if it works as well as this article is showing

That, and using it as a video-chat device is a great plus, too.

ACTUALLY, THE WEBCAM (WHICH IS THE INITIAL FUNCTION OF THE 360 CAMERA) WAS FIRST USED WITH THE PC. I DON'T THINK I HAVE TO TELL YOU WHAT COMPANY HAS DEVELOPED THE MOST SOFTWARE/DRIVERS FOR THE PC. :o
