Yeah, I think any links or references to something in that Spidey world is good but doesn't need to be too heavy handed. Just a reference to Roxxon or anything to leverage the shared universe thang a bit would be dope.

But really I'd be more excited for a couple of X Cameos showing up. I know Logan has a whole bunch of characters he's more closely tied to, but I would die if Nightcrawler showed up here and there. Like just as an X-Man to show up halfway through the game because the team is worried about Wolvie going off on his own etc. Would make for a great voice in the ear to challenge Wolvie's methods and morality if he's taking lives left right and centre.

Would also be totally down for a cool, Insomniac original remix of Wolverine lore. Something that starts with him tracking down a killer only to discover the killer is X-23 (who he doesn't know yet in this universe) or something similar.

Also it goes without saying but anything with deep ties to his past is always great, so would love to see some familiar faces like Maverick show up.

I would think that by the time this comes out it'll be strictly PS5 only. Ideally they'd have had Horizon: Forbidden West and God of War Ragnarok only on PS5 also if not for the shortage but it hasn't seemed to have gotten any better since launch.

When this was announced they confirmed both it and spiderman 2 are ps5 only. Ps5 is at around 20 million will be like 30+ million by the time spiderman 2 comes out next year and this game is farther off than spiderman 2 meaning ps5 will likely be 50 million or so by the time this comes out.

I could see it going either way. Sony definitely still benefit from having a presence at massive Disney event, especially for system sellers like Spidey or Wolvie.

Oh yeah I totally agree, I would be surprised to see it there though. Especially with the new ensemble game confirmed to be there, midnight suns, and with there being rumors of a black panther game I could see those getting announced at Disney. If anything maybe a peek at spiderman 2 as a surprise. I'd love to be wrong though, I'm dying to see what insomniac is cooking up for this.

I'd say 2024 if I had to guess. But we also don't know division of labor. If I remember correctly ratchet and clank and spiderman came out pretty close together. But I imagine marketing and release scheduling probably want to make sure players have enough time between games too. Maybe if we're really lucky we could get spiderman by next summer and wolverine by next winter. But that's honestly wishful thinking.

Crazy how fast Insomniac can get high quality games out compared to other studios. Wolverine and Spidey 2 coming out in 2024 and 25/26 would be fine with me. With any normal studio it would certainly be later.

If not for covid I think we would be playing spiderman 2 now. For these 2 games best case I am thinking spiderman 2 middle 2023 and Wolverine early 2024. For a while I was thinking spiderman 2 would be early 2023 but we would have more than just the 1 trailer if it was a early 2023 game by now. I also hate hate sony marketing now days.
