Is it unimportant to you to spell correctly, something you do properly but don't think much about, or feel obligated to do and enforce?

This should be a public poll.

The nazi's make it a lot less fun to post.

I'm 50/50 on this. I think the internet is about speedy, easy conversation. That being said, conversation should be comprehensible.

I'll eventually let out the occasional teh secks, and stuff. But I'm a fan of grammar, and I hate people who have bad grammar that type like "I jus saw the nwe spyder man muvie an it waz ok."

A few mistakes here and there are acceptable, as long as the post is still intelligible. People tend to bring it up too often in arguments as if indicative of someone's intelligence.

I always try my best to spell words correctly and use grammar properly. It's just more natural. In any case, I don't give anyone else any flak for not doing so, though they don't tend to return the favor.

I probably didn't click on the option like I thought I did. I'm still getting used to the pad on this Inspiron.

Mostly I ignore it unless someone is so horribly unintelligible that I can't figure out what the hell they are trying to say. The people who obviously know better but still go ahead and use terrible grammar, spelling and sentence structure anyway, though, are just lazy regardless of whether the medium is just a message board or not. A spelling mistake or misusing a word here or there happens to everyone, so that's not anything to bash someone over. However, the folks that seem to have some sort of superiority complex and are going out of their way to call other people stupid in one fashion or another while simultaneously butchering the English language are practically begging to be ridiculed.

Internet abbreviations on forums annoy the piss out of me.

hay drak wan 2 tlk on AIM l8r? lol k

Tzarinna, you made an internet grammar blunder. You do not use apostrophes for plurals. (nazis, not nazi's).

If you can still understand the post, then no biggie. If it make my eyes and brain convulse, then that's a problem.

It is important for people to use correct typing..except for those who do not use English as their native language.

Maybe, I've been not on IM much, thanks to a lapload of work. [Well, voulenteer work, but work nonetheless]

Pretty much how I look at it, but like I said, I do have my pet peeves.

I was joking. You probably wouldn't talk anyways:up:

I have no problem with acronyms such as 'WTF', or 'LMAO', but it never ceases to annoy me when someone can't string a series of coherent words together, with proper punctuation, spelling, and grammar.

Step the **** away for the keyboard until you learn how to spell, you ****ing ******s.
