So I assume Galactus will appear at the end like the comic. Cool.

Granted...Rothman saying we won't be dissapointed means jack ****.

My guess is there will be glimpes of him earlier in the film (foreshadowing and all that) then the big reveal in a cliffhanger ending.

And agreed on Rothmans comments. Since there are two versions of Galactus now (classic 616 and the Ultimate techno-bug swarm) which set of fans is he referring too anyway? (personally, if it's the Ultimate version I will be very dissapointed).

Should also be said that there's no way anyone involved in the film is ever gonna admit (even if they are 100% certain of it) that the comic fans are gonna hate what they have done (look at the weasling crap the writers of X3 came out with in response to fans questions about them killing Cyclops).

Didn't know that and i don't think they should make a sequel to that movie. But why am i still surprised by this stuff? There 7 Police Academy films after all.

It's from a upcoming game called "Marvel Ultimate Alliance" (features scores of Marvel characters and looks pretty good from the vids I've seen).

And that clip does show how some thought and imagination can make something damn close to the original designs for Galactus very workable.

All the Marvel characters in that game trailer look stiff and unnatural to me, but with Galactus it works. If I had seen that slow turn of the Big G's head in an FF2 trailer, I'd be very pleased.

Rothman's statements carry very little water with me at this time. But I am going to keep my finger's crossed. After all, the brilliance of X2 (and to an extent X3) was produced even with him in the equation.

We'll see.

I wonder will this whole "Galactus is in it" produce similar results to the "Sentinels are in it" debacle of X3. What we got in X3 was a shadow of a Sentinel, lots of noise and a head so I'd be warey of anything thats said regarding the appearance of Galactus!

Don't get me wrong I still love X3 but the hype that was generated over the Sentinel's appearance was huge and what we saw of the Sentinel was a let down. I'm looking forward to FF2 and seeing where they go with it though.

I'm in the camp that says that Galactus doesn't actually make an appearance until the next film (depending on how well this one does.) I think it will do well, but I wouldn't want to be in Story's shoes right now. To have to deliver a good enough prequel to a film with Galactus in it, would be too much pressure for me. Good luck to him though.

Yes. If they try to do the whole thing in one film and throw Doom in there too, it's going to come out rushed and half-baked.
Galactus' arrival could be the best cliffhanger since "I am Locutus of Borg."

I agree, I really was not sure how they were going to transfer Galactus to the big screen without him looking totally hokie. The friends that I showed some pictures to, laughed me out of the breakroom. But this looks great, and I hope this is what we will see.

I wouldn't be surprised if Fox gives us as little as possible. They were raked over the coals last time with every bit of information, pictures whatever. The internet hype sucked. I wouldn't blame them if they put a stop to all of that. The things that came across pretty well were the promotional pictures, like the first of Sue in costume etc. I wouldn't be at all surprised if thats all we got.

My thoughts exactly willie, Tim must be super busy but this is getting crazy, I keep logging on every day looking for snippets of news, photos, something, man I am salivating over pictures of taxi cabs and street signs, how sick is that. Somebody somewhere give us something soon please.

This is what I've been arguing for. It's a shame really how little faith fans have in the genius of the original design. And how many are willing to sell out these great characters for the sake of "realism" and "not looking silly".
But this, (and please keep in mind that this is for a video game and could therefore be greatly improved upon),..THIS gives you a glimpse of how AWESOME the true galactus, the true FF, the true SS could be.,

why don' t they get, why don't WE get that THIS is what we love and want to see?
