Ray Park isn't really an actor though. He couldn't carry a whole movie on his own. He is a bad ass martial artist though.

And Tom Jane for Wendell.

I'm going to say Ray Park, if he can't get the part then he should atleast get to do the stunts. I'd like to see Charlie Hunnam as Iron Fist, if Ray can't get the part. :D

This is exactly how they should do it.

Yeah, this is a good idea. Especially since Park wants to play Danny & has been wanting to for a while, they might as well throw him a bone.

I choose Marc Dacascos. He starred in The Crow: Stairway To Heaven, Only The Strong, Brotherhood Of The Wolf, Double Dragon, etc.

Hunnam all the way.

He's getting much bigger for Sons of Anarchy. I always thought Rand should be in shape but kinda slim, although I still want him for the role.

I dont see Ray Park for the stunts. Cyril Raffaelli should do the Iron Fist stunts. For one he looks a helluva a lot like the character. Really good at parkour which is great for a roof hopping superhero like IF, but excellent martial artist.

Cryil would also be a great pick.

So far my choice look like this:

Danny Rand/Iron Fist: Charlie Hunnam
Colleen Wing: Olivia Wilde
Misty Knight: ?
Lei Kung: Ken Wantanabe
Steel Serpent: ?
Wendell Rand: ?
Jade Emperor: ?

There's still alot of roles to fill out.

If you look at pics of Colleen and Wilde, I think she could take the part:

Collen was born in New York but raised in Japan.

So if not Olivia then who?

Do people actually want Ray Park to play Danny Rand? For one, he's at least 10 years too old for the role, for two (is that even a real saying?) the guy can't act to save his life (Ecks vs Sever anyone) and for wanting him to stunt double for some other actor is kinda silly, seeing as there are some phenomanly talented new guys coming up through the ranks of screen Martial Arts/Stunt Work/Acrobatics who could geniunly pull off some superhero kung fu shizznat.

Personaly I think casting an unknown would be the only way to go. In the past I've said Ryan Phillipe, what with him being a good actor, having the right look and having background in Tae Kwon Do, but even in his thirties I think he'd be a little too old to carry a franchise that would be so physicly demanding.

Until the right guy for Danny Rand comes along (a good martial artist with the chops to carry a film), I don't wanna see this movie moving forward, as much as I'd love to see it happen one day.

I really rate Dacascos, and think he's been criminally underused in Hollywood, but the dudes 45 years old now, and even though i'd love to see him on screen again, he's a pretty daft choice for Danny Rand.

It'd be so easy to cast Iron Fist if he was oriental, but a young, blond, American who is supposedly the greatest Martial Artist in the Marvel Universe - I can see this being pretty hard to cast.

Fundamentally, Iron Fist should be a Martial Arts film first, superhero film second. When your film's a Kung Fu flick, you want someone who can really pull off the abilities of Iron Fist. Not just some blonde actor, no matter how good an actor that guy may be.

The first and most important aspect to casting ANY movie is acting. I guess this is why I dont care for Kung Fu flicks. I like my actors to do more than a jump kick.

If they base an IF movie on Immortal Iron Fist it will be more than a kung fu flick or a superhero flick and they will be dumb not to go that route IMO
