Benjamin Bratt has been talked about by fans so has Odeb Fahr,it's hard to say who Marvel wants as Stark,it's believed that Tom Cruise is still there number 1 guy for the role,but nothings confirmed.

I'm sure the geek patrol will bash me for this but I kind of forgot about this guy but he could be a good actor for the role. He's surely capable of playing someone with heart issues and portraying someone at odds with his father. I'm glad to see him back at work w/Val Kilmer looking young again, and Shane Black back to what he does best. I wouldn't mind John Cusack either.

People act like Downey is a terrible actor, when he's not. He has drug issues, yes, but it seems somewhat elitist to let that factor into his ability to play the role, especially when he probably knows what the character has gone through in various incarnations.

Robert Downey Jr. would not be a good option. Sure he's a good actor, but he has a substance abuse problem which could cause issues for the production if something happens. It probably costs a lot to insure him as an actor due to his own past misgivings, and since the production of an Iron Man film would likely be expensive I don't see them doing this. Besides, I don't see him as Iron Man. Nothing about him makes me believe that he would be a good Tony Stark. Yes, he's a good actor, but so's Liam Neeson, and I wouldnt want to see him as Tony Stark either.

Keep trying though. You'll come up with some good ideas. I like John Cusak for a superhero role, but not as Iron Man.

People just associate the name Downey with bad...I can see him doing the role justice honestly.

Billy Campbell should be Iron Man. If not, I'd find a guy old enough and agile enough to play both Tony Stark and Iron Man, instead of casting two different people for one role. And I'd have hopes he's talented enough to play a billionare playboy as well.

I haven't seen every actor in the world, so I wouldn't know who to cast. For Iron Man, I would hope he'd be the perfect actor for the role. :ironman:
