Iron Man IRONMAN Casting Thread [merged-15]

I've a gut feeling that Iron Man's latest armor upgrade will be including in the basis of an IM screenplay. Tony now has mental control over most technology, and can summon his armor with a mere thought. Some may complain, but as a technological superhero, the powers this upgrade provides are definitely more state of the art than the armors he's had previously.

Just watched a interveiw with Don Murphy over at comisc2film.com,where he spoke alittle about Iron Man,saying that it is one of Marvels biggest properties that needs to be made,to him its about who will direct,like a Sam Raimi type directer who will take this movie on,asked if we will get a update soon about Iron Man,Murphy said he wouldn't be surprised. I know an Iron Man script is in the works and the talk of a film being made has been going on for a while now. If there was to be an Iron Man live motion picture made, who would you chose to play Iron Man?

I think Karl Urban from Ghost Ship, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, and Doom would make a perfect Tony Stark. He has the look and the voice, he just has to tone it right. Give 'em a good director and script and he would make an amazing Tony Stark/Iron Man.

Well, this has been a topic for a while,with many great choices,but one that I think would work,is Ben Browder (Stargate SG-1,Farscape) he's a talented actor,the right age and wouldn't be hard to sign him to a multi-picture deal.

I can see Oded Fehr doing a superhero film, but not Iron Man. I wouldn't protest if he got the role, but he's not my first choice.

Leonardo DiCaprio might be a good option for Tony Stark. He kind of looked the part in Aviator.

Karl Urban would make a great Thor. I'd rather see him as the God of Thunder, than I would Iron Man.

Billy Crudup is an interesting choice. Caviezel could do it, but I'd rather see him as Silver Surfer, or Green Lantern (especially since he didn't get Superman).

Keanu Reeves might be interesting, but I'm interested in seeing his possible Silver Surfer.

Johnny Depp would be a good choice for Tony Stark, but a better one for Dr. Strange.
