JIM CAVIEZEL!!!

He is perfect! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

I think he'd be better suited to Daredevil. I doubt he'd accept the role though should a sequel loom on the horizon.

He would make a good DD, youre right.

But Iron Man choices for me are either Jim Caviezel(he is perfect) or Johnny Depp.

Millar even said he based Ultimate Iron Man on Johnny Depp.

C'mon AD, he is perfect!:(

He is perfect and near the top of my list. Actually he's second on my list and makes more sense than my first choice but for some reason I just want Wahlberg.

I still think there's some actor out there, who's less known but not an "off the street" type, who's got a lot of acting talent, who looks good enough to help sell more tickets to the female audience, is in the general age range that would be ideal(30-35 years old), and is also a comic book fan who'd love to do this movie and would readily accept being contracted for sequels, much the same way Tobey Maguire was contracted for 3 films. I hope Fav finds someone like that. As far as looking like Tony Stark from the comics goes, that's rather low on my list of priorities simply because just about anyone can get a goatee and some dark hair dye.

^Even he can(although the goatee might have to be fake)

I'm sure someone has suggested Ryan Gosling but I wasn't willing to look through dozens of pages to find it. I see him as a possible candidate because he's such a great actor. He is 3-5 years younger than what would be ideal(he'd be 28 when the movie came out) but that's not a huge age difference. I dunno. As far as looks go, just about anyone can be made up to look like Tony Stark*.

*Except Oded Fehr. Just say NO!

Horrible, horrible choices. Matt Le Blanc???? man lol
If I'm not mistaken, isn't Tony supposed to be an Inventor/CEO/Superhero/ladies man type?

The best choice(Tom Cruise) is seemingly not interested, and the second best (Christian bale) is taken.

bale is playing batman which is funny considering batman and iron man's origins are similiar

If he wasn't already Wolverine, Hugh Jackman would be perfect.

Both Bale and Jackman would've been great choices. So we need to find someone like that. Or rather Fav does.

James Caviezel is a good choice but I still want an unknown cast as Stark that looks alot like him

(Tony kind of has an exotic look to him.)Billy Zane would've made an excellent choice.

Ten years ago.:o

As of now, call me crazy, but I'd like to see Guy Pierce as Stark.

He doesn't exactly resemble Tony from the cb stories, but he has the rugged look of a soldier, and he's one hell of a performer.

I gave a more thorough glance at the pole choices, and Dylan Mcdermott's name escaped my notice before.

He kind of looks like Stark also:

Well, 1/2 Stark and 1/2 David Schwimmer:o

I think alot of people here are a little too caught up on physical traits and not on character.

I don't know if the name has come up. . but I'm leaning toward Justin Theroux (American Psycho, The Baxter, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle). He's great at being smooth, but he can put so many layers into his every character.

Or. . Robert Downey, Jr. I've brought that name up before. . but darn it he's great for the part. He can be cool, hip, intense, comedic. . He's just a darn good actor.

One more. . . Ron Livingston. Dude is a cult hero for roles in Office Space and Favreau's Swingers. The guy is underrated and could really do wonders with the role.
