Just wondering if the show's almost over. I never got into it, weird stories and stuff they said they'd never do, if the fans like it that's their deal, I won't bash someone for liking something that is their choice, but I just couldn't get into it, but I think they should just continue it into A Superman show, Tom would look good as him, but how do they explain Lex, Perry, and Lois and so on, seeing him without his glasses then they'll see him in Metropolis as Superman?

I think they messed up on the show, they tried not to do certain things then they did them anyway and messed with the Superman cannon too much.

some say it's in its own continuity, but when will they do something that is in modern continuity, well, part of it is how much DC changes origins too that makes it too flexible.

If you don't watch the show, or even like the show, why on earth do you care whether it goes more than 7 seasons?

That won't go over well......:o

Anyway, hopefully 7 is the last season....this storyline has been stretched, pulled, yanked, and spread far too thin.

Just get to the end already. I'm not sure what another season will do for the "journey" at this point. We know how it ends, we don't need another 20-40 Clark vs Lex confrontations.

Just put the final nail in the coffin for each respective character this season and end it on a high note....Clark wearing the suit, and flying out of the FOS.

Good ol morose Pickle-dickle. :)

yah, i was definitely referring to the topic, and how it was a combination of like all of those newbie topics. i'm really (REALLY) surprised it didn't have anything about batman in it.

This is the part I agree with. :D I'm a huge and fresh fan of the show (newbie, yup) but now that the storylines are getting so much more mature and we're past the Superboy stage, I really do feel like it's time to move into Superman territory. Even if it's like a miniseries or something.

On the other hand, I've heard that there would be restrictions in going to the suit quite beyond the old talk about AlMiles and TW not liking it; now DC or WB won't like it since they're busy promoting Routh as the new Superman. *shrug*

Well getting over the whole they know Clark without glasses thing is pretty easy really... By the series end they could have Lex lose his memory, and Clark never meets Lex again as Clark but maybe if a certain someone is wearing the suit he could stop LEX in the last episodes with a certain suit on, and so when Lex loses his memory they can play it off that the only thing he remembers is that "Superman" hurt him, and blame Superman for losing his memory...

As for Perry well I have always thought that Perry knew who Clark really was but just never said anything because it wasn't his place... They could just play it off like that...

Have Perry not so much let it be known that Clark is Superman but he could actually act dumb about the whole idea since well we know at least on the show they have a history together, and Clark saved his life... Call it payback for being a good person.

There problem solved... As for Lois! 2 words... Memory Kiss! :woot:

lol yea the WB doesn't want the guy on tv to over shadow the guy on the big screen anymore then he has already! It's bad enough that people for the most part see Welling as todays Superman & Not Routh!
Just think if Welling put the suit on, and he made Routh look like caca doody!? haha Everyone involved with the SR disaster would be pulling their collective hairs!

But I have hope that the SR sequel is never greenlite, and by mid season 7 they tell Al & Miles to bring on the suit!

heh one can dream can't he? :woot:

Perry isn't really a problem to begin with. He met Clark once, and even now, that was what, 3 years ago? i think it's acceptable that once superman emerges, Perry just wouldn't put two and two together. Especially if the Clark Kent persona is someone who's already working at the planet, who Perry knows.

Lois and Lex on the other hand... that's a huge problem.
Considering all of Lex's suspicions over the years, it'd be kinda hard for him to not put two and two together. and i'm not a fan of the memory loss thing. =(

That's alright. Welcome, we're happy to have you.
We've got a pretty good bunch here. Make yourself at home.
=)

What's with all the ass-monkeys as of late? Every time I come in this forum anymore it's always some doof mouthing off at long-time posters trying to incite trouble.

Keep the discussion focused on Smallville, if that's too much to ask.

I know, i'm getting sick off it. It's Supergirl ever since taht news came about its been none stop *****iness from some.

Nice going boyscouT, that remark is uncall for.

It always surprises me how much people worry about this. Maybe it's because I'm not as concerned about the laws of mythology ruling this incarnation of Superman. Meh. As long as Clark becomes Supes one day - I'm pretty open to whatever direction they take the story and other characters - that's assuming they do it WELL, and that it's respectful and ultimately makes sense within SV's universe. I have no doubts that they'll wind up the show with Clark having a dual-identity, open for a future at the D.P., and with the Lois Lane potential firmly established. I'm excited to see how they are going to wrap all the ends up.

Anyone else see this latest quote by Schneider? He thinks the show needs to move on as well.
Smallville has become something else entirely since Jonathan died. It’s far more sci-fi and Justice League-like. I think that’s great but it’s not Smallville. Personally I think they should rename it Metropolis and start anew. The whole “mailbox at the end of a dirt road” vibe is gone. Again, that’s not a problem, the show is still great. It’s just not Smallville any more.

It's nothing really. I've quoted boyscouT which is why my post is gone along with his.

I would have kinda liked to know what happened, too... especially as the mess seems to have been right after my post >.>

It was about something that Boyscout had said, but I didn't see what he said after that one comment toward me...

I can only assume that whatever he'd said had been again directed toward me since he apologized to me in PM, so I guess it's all good, whatever it was....

A lot people have been doing that.
