Is it too much to ask...

Is this some kinda place where people get to hook up and look for love?

Yes. Yes it is too much to ask for.

Sorry Babs, don't want to be mean or anything honey, but the standards you just listed are a little too high. You'll probably never find someone who falls within all the things you listed in this list. And if you do, it probably won't lead into anything.

I'm not saying give up hope and settle for some poor schmuck you have nothing in common with. I'm saying find someone who you have common intersts with.

Relationships, be it romantic or friendship or whatever, are all about give and take: you go into them as 2 individuals and kind of meld into one.

Who knows: maybe you'll find some handsome snowboarder who you can convert into the ultimate Trekkie. Stranger things have happened.

You never called us back! We were all primed to go to baton rouge to have drinks with you two!

I was exhausted. I had to work that whole day to cover Jeff's shift so you two could hang out.

I mean there's got to be guys like that out there going "man, if I could only find a nice girl who likes superheroes and star trek."

I think I just want to find someone I can be dorky with and I'm worried that it won't happen just the way I want it to.

there definitely out there.

except for the winter sports and star trek thing...i hate star trek and i play regualr sports like football and baseball etc...and i think that Spider-Man is the greatest there ever will be!!!!

well we both appreciate it a lot. we kicked back and watched superman returns that night anyway. the rain was a little much too. when we went camping for new years at tickfaw in springfield, the river rose 4 feet or so while we slept from the rain the day before. in the morning all camp sites except for ours looked like this:

Thanks Jag! :) I finally got a pre-amp for my computer and have been using my new mic... it sounds so freakin awesome! I hear it and I'm like... that's my voice? Thanks for the tips in early December!

Excellent! Looks like the new year is off to a great start for you! I'll look forward to hearing some of your new stuff with the new mic setup.

I'm going to be entering the studio this winter to record two separate projects. Looking forward to both of them.

Bull. I fit all those catagories [other than biking, which is only because at the moment, it's a physical disability], and good-looking [I think I'm good looking, but she might think differently].

I'm not trying to sell myself to her, because despite her being cute, nerdy, friendly, and overall awesome, I'm perfectly happy and then some with the current lady in my life. Also, I doubt Babs would even wanna meet me. :p

Umm I used to play Hockey, I own a Mountain Bike and I have just discovered my new found love for DS9 and Voyager and I have a rather extensive comic collection and love all things Superheroes. You can look at my pic in the Hype Photo thread. But yeah im just responding to the 1st post you made with no acknowldegment of the other preceeding 11 pages of attempts to woo you.

LOL @ everybody bragging about themselves in this thread. It's pretty good for the self-confidence, idn't it? :p

I know what you mean. My ex was not interested in anything I was, and he used to put me down all the time for liking X-Men, Video Games and staying in watching DVDs
