Is it too much to ask...

is it to much to ask for girls to stop makeing threads about why guys are jerks? lets make a thread about why it has to rain, or why it snows in winter.

the first rain came from the sky causing noahs flood.

No kidding.

24...steady job...likes things guys like and still no boyfriend?

Somebody's not telling the whole story... but who likes to describe their deep inadaquacies online?

do all the good ones always have a boyfriend? when someone moves boyfriend to boyfriend or girlfriend to girlfriend that's usually a sign that they're co-dependent on nobody-in-particular.

anywho. i'm seeing someone now, so for the moment, my search is satisfied.

Just visit your local star trek conventions. You'll have your pick! Just remember to come dressed as a green slave girl.

Does he like comic books and star trek and... what was that other stuff? Skiing??

I still got trouble finding a girl, but probably because I'm shallow and got too high standard:huh:
So yeah I ask too much.

he likes star trek, superhero movies (which is enough) other various geeky things. loves mountain biking even more than i. likes snowboarding and can't wait to ski when he arrives in february. and is quite the talented musician. on top of all that he's a first rate nice guy, pretty effing funny and loves kids.

there was a reason guitarsingerguy responded to my initial musing. it's because he knew a guy who fit the bill pretty well.

Jeff is an immensely talented musician. I'm not sure if you heard him play any trumpet, but wow, the boy can play. I was so impressed when I heard him play his trumpet I demanded that he come sometimes and play with the band I'm putting together, and it won't even remotely fit with the music. I don't care. He's too good to let not do anything.

And where the heck is my secret santa present sister???!!

Seriously. Glad to hear you found someone. Hope this year is a good one for you.

He's played the trumpet many a time for me. He's awesomely talented :) While I was down there he pulled out all (six, seven, eight?) trumpets he has at his apartment and explained all the differences and origins and such. It was pretty sweet. He says he's got his eyes out for an oboe for me because mine is pretty much shot and I can't really afford a new one.

Yeah, musicians are my weakness.

I will think of something now that I am back in town, not banned and might actually have a moment.

You just ran out of excuses, didn't you? ;)

not really. i'm not tethered to the hype like some. had i known i'd be banned the day i signed up for the secret santa i wouldn't have done it. kind of lodged a whole rock in my shoe for a week and change and i was home for the holidays when i finally was unbanned. i feel a little bad for canadian rider, but i'm sure he'll live if he has to wait. does that make me a mean person? not really.

and no it is not a metaphor, FG.

If he likes superhero movies you can probably get him into comic books. Just lend him one of your best hardbacks or something.

Last what I did with my last girlfriend. I lent her Punisher: Welcome Home, Frank and she loved it.

I gave my girlfriend a Transformers TPB and she liked it but not enough to get into it. She's intrigued by the new movie coming out.

that is just wrong.

Best thing to hook a girl into comics is to give her something with a hint of romance. Comic books can be very romantic and I think they hold a lot of appeal for women. You just need to get them to pick up the right issue or graphic novel. Once you're over that bump, it's not hard to nurse a habit.

My first comic books were Nightwing: Ballistic Romance parts I and II

It's no wonder I was hooked.

Shieet...then i could use those sappy words cyclops always use on Jean. But then again,it'll just feel corny.
