It's good experience and helps you refine even further what you do and don't want in a mate down the road. well thanks jag and i know this. i'm not really looking anyway. i'm too busy in the middle of nowhere to be actively looking. i had a day off today and in my intense boredom got thinking about it is all.

i will admit that it does feel strange not to have a crush on anybody. there's just no one crush worthy in my life right now.

Maybe you should just find someone to serve as a sex toy when the mood strikes you to help take the edge off. My wife and I have several female friends that do this and they seem to be happy with it as a stop-gap (perhaps an unfortunate word choice, there, but I'm going with it) until they find someone they want to be more serious about.

I mean there's got to be guys like that out there going "man, if I could only find a nice girl who likes superheroes and star trek."

I think I just want to find someone I can be dorky with and I'm worried that it won't happen just the way I want it to.

The dating scene is very hard especially once you get out of college and most of your friends are dating, engaged or married.

You feel like a 3rd wheel. You can't really have them be your wing man, or even if you don't like the bar/dating scene.

And you don't want to date within your work pool.

It's tough out there.
