Fenrir said:So you'd rather compromise great games looking uglier with having each and every single crap game in the PS and PS2 library? LOL.
With the conditions attached and the alledged firmware fix? You bet. And you'd be wrong to choice the other option. Maybe you should have read what you actually bolded, but ces't la vi...
Crapping on the PS3 because of it's extravagant price is a perfectly valid point and I know it causes you unbearable pain whenever someone bring it up (of course, why else would you be "responding" to me?)- right now, none of it's titles seem significantly superior to the 360's at least not enough to justify an extra 100-200 bucks (in fact, technically speaking a lot of them are inferior).
Hey we could have the conversation about lead SKUS and the difficulty in porting titles between the platforms as well as the devtool situation all you want man, it might go over your head even though I'm no expert. But then again this has nothing to do with the original arguement, it's just you trying to get in a cheap shot wherever possible.
Secondly, it can't even do the one thing people expected it would do completely right - backwards compatibility.
Right, but it plays them all, and as we know is supposedly a simple firmware fix! So easy! I would say that I don't know why you're acting like it isn't fixable and doesn't seem like a simple thing to be fixed, but everyone already knows the answer to that...
You are out to lunch, wow.
Just to reiterate something that's already passed in this thread...
Typical argument against PS3: "The PS3's backwards compatibility sucks"
Typical Zenien response: "The 360's is worse"

Yeah because
1 example = all
am i rite?
You're really reaching here. Keep your fanboy mentality in check will you. At least appear to be rational instead of a hater.
"Only a handful of titles working"? Yes, only in Zenien's bizarro land do 250 plus backwards title that includes almost every single hit game on the Xbox amount to "only a handful". You're really reaching now, sweetie.
Out of a couple thousand titles? 250 = a handful
And because I own some of the less popular games chances are they will never get up and running; or maybe they will a year from now? 6 more months? On top of what I've already waited? So really that leaves me with no choice but to keep my Xbox. That's hardly good BC now is it? So have fun, but PS3 BC such as it is > 360 BC, of course Nintendo's BC smokes them both.
Actually, this wouldn't have been such an issue if Sony ****es kept their trap shut about the 360's backwards compatibilty problems, in spite of knowing of the hardware complications in the console and not touting the PS3's "superior" backwards compatibility beforehand.
Yeah ok Sony gets in trouble for stating the truth, oh well. Oh wait...you called me a ****e?
Anyway, apples to oranges, each approach has a different set of advantages. I'd rather be playing my games and gettign that firmware fix, then waiting another 4-8 months for the next BC update that won't even include some of my games more then likely, which will hopefully be fixed up soon, knowing Sony's commitment to firmware updates.
Meanwhile here I am with my Xbox, shame I don't own barbie horse adventure. (Ohhh!)
You're sure making a lot of noise for something that's alledgedly going to be so simple to fix and such as it is is still a better solution then 360 BC considering I have no option but to keep my Xbox, unlike having the option of ditching the PS2.
Guess Sony really don't have a clue as to what they're doing when MS can get games looking better on a COMPLETELY different hardware using software emulation yet Sony can't do the same with their own hardware.
lol.
Ok. Sony has no clue what they're doing. I'm not going to tell you about the differences in variables between doing emulation and using the hardware since they're so obvious. But yet again, such a simple firmware fix, right? Compared to the uncessary screaming and yelling and temper tantruming that you're doing? Go take a time out.
