In the last twenty-four hours, Bleeding Cool had received repeated reports that Sony have settled on their new Spider-Man. And he is Jamie Bell, English actor, star of Billy Elliot with another major comc-book lead under his belt, playing Tintin in the upcoming Spielberg/Jackson/Moffat/Cornish/Wright CGI adaptation of the popular comic.

Watch him in Jumper,then a few interviews. He has a really outgoing fun and cheeky personality. To see his dramatic acting,check out Billy Elliot. American accent, check out King Kong. His best movie is Hallam Foe.

That is what is worrying me, that they will be all about the quips and forget the heart, and we will end up with a pain in the ass onscreen.
Hopefully whoever is cast has both heart and smartassian qualities.
He doesn't have to be a generic looking heart throb either.
