Superman Returns Is Lex Luthor a psychotic in this film?

I think that the wig will be used only when Luthor is taking part on any kind of public event. I wonder if the psychothic Luthor is the bald one. A Jeckill/Hide Lex. Just wondering...

Ive always preferred the in depth, character driven Hackmen Luthor to the boring, emotioneless STAS Luthor. So im glad Spacey is trying to be like Hackmen.

Why do all comic book characters have to be sociopathic?

I get the feeling it's something done to give comics a false sense of legitimacy.

Because the best Lex Luthors (early post crisis and STAS) were more or less sociopathic. Besides most major criminals, dictatrors, etc are either psychotic or sociopathic in real life as well. I mean seriously why would you put on costume and be a super villain if you didn't have mental problems. Besides not all villians in the comics are psychopaths, some are tragic figures, some have codes od honour and some are crimnals who do it for the thrill. Lex just works best as a sociopathic tycoon.

I'd say he's very maniacal, which would be reflective of the comics since Luthor's election as President. There was a lot of calm level-headedness in most of his actions. But they were always punctuated with outbursts of a genuinly disturbing nature. I think that's what Spacey's Luthor will be...and frankly I LOVE IT!!!

I just really hope they keep him rich and try to build his public legitimacy more in the next films...criminal/CEO Lex was always more fun and two faced than just plain criminal Lex.
