The Amazing Spider-Man Is Norman Osborn confirmed?

I hope Spider-Man isn't 17 and has been fighting crime for a few years.

I agree, just frigging get on with it. which person on this entire planet doesn't know how spidey become spidey. move on for pete's sakes.

Yeah...we don't need to see his build up to greatness again. Just make him college age and already experienced what it is like to be Spider-Man for the first few times. That is half the first movie gone right there if they don't already have him established as Spider-Man with a few flashbacks to his past.

I loved how the SSM started with spidey already spidey and not till nearly the end of the season did they show the origin. I have no problem whatsoever with sony having the origin in a sequel and even then in flash backs.

Unless something new to brought to the table, if I see the whole origin unraveling again 2 Junes from now, my reaction may not be happy.

Rhys Ifans is perhaps the Chameleon.

Van Atter might not be Van Adder at all. His named was changed to fit the closest match, because no one knew who Van Atter was. And Van Atter’s wife could turn out to be Martha. There might be no need for Norman Osborn and Harry in this movie because they can center the movie on Peter's relationship with Gwen, George and the Stacy Clan and Parker Clan.

For something new, Adrian Toomes could become the new Norman type “kingpin pulling strings from the shadows, become the big power-broker arming and genetically modifying villains” etc.

You guys and your wild ass speculations. Sometimes, it's just plain damn nutty.

well whichever direction they choose, im super excited for this new film. i have such high hopes for it and think its going to blow the original 2002 film away. im curious about jameson and osborn, if they are going to be involved or not but as long as the story, acting and action are superb i'll enjoy it

There is no confirmation of Proto Goblin and there is no confirmation of Norman. The fact that they haven't cast Norman yet makes me think he isn't going to play a big part in this series. If Norman was going to be developed over a trilogy, they would have hired someone to play him already. That said, he may appear in the second or this may just be a loose reboot where they take into account the previous 3 films and don't reuse any villains...who knows.

Maybe they have hired the actors to play Harry and Norman Osborne, but they just haven't confirmed that yet

The perfect Norman Osborn!

I have the feeling the dude has not even made his first confession or holy communion yet, so no, but if so, this is just yet another unholy act he has perpetaratared.

if they do this, build up villans over teh course of movies, casting lead villans before their in costume appearance, with major actors agreeing to cameo roles before they get the spotlight, that is a something this series will have over the Raimi films, we only had Harry building up over there, and that was very successful.
Norman and Brock being the ones they could do most with in that regard, apart from Conners , who they are starting off with, ironic, given the Raimi non-build up to that.

No Norman Osborne or Harry Osborne or any Goblin stuff.

This is a reboot, lets see something different.

There don't have to be goblins for them to be in the movie(s).

The bad guy in The Fugitive always struck me as Norman Osborn.

I still think Jason Isaacs is the best for the role
a wild card...Guy Pearce

I'm sure that Harry and Norman will make an appearance in the movie but there's no rush since they have around a year or so for the shooting of the film.

Honestly, I could do with a more minor villain to build up to Norman in a later movie.

Heck, I'd like to see Vulture as the main villain if only because the aerial battles could potentially be amazing.

So do we know if Harry will go to the same school as Peter in the reboot?

Or will he be some transfer student in the sequel?
