Well considering that we were in awe on Quicksilver's awesome scene in X-men: Days Of Future Past, I'm just wondering if Quicksilver's scene in X-men: Apocalypse is still the best part of the movie.

They put a lot of effort into it and it was well made, however I thought the mansion exploding should be more...serious? It wasn't really a race against time to save everyone, more of Quicksilver joking around.

Not by a long shot. Actually found the scene a bit underwhelming. They had some fun with it, but I neither felt the stakes, or really thought it was funny. They put a lot of effort in though and it looked great, but it was a bit of a gimmick.

No, if I knew how to hide text behind spoiler tags I'd tell you my favourite scene... :-S

Thats what I noticed.... and he was like "WOW" at the end of it.

There are a lot of better scenes, than another moment for teenagers in cinemas.
Would prefer him being more serious in next one.
Don't like the idea of bringing clowns like in MCU movies.

Yes, his scene and some of his one-liners are the best parts of the movie.

His scenes were fun again but I feel like the Auschwitz scene and Apoc taking over Cerebro were better also the scene with Mags family in Poland were more haunting.

The problem with Singer's QS is that he made him too OP, and there's really no stakes when he's around. If he can move so fast that bullets are almost at a standstill when he is in his speed mode, then I don't see how anything can harm him since he can always get out of the situation easily.

It's a lot of fun as usual, but the best scenes overall would come from Fassbender's acting truly.

I loved it, it looked amazing in 3D. However there are a lot of other scenes I loved more like the Wolverine cameo, Apocalypse increasing Magneto's powers, the missiles scene and the final moments of the end battle.

Started off good, but it dragged on for way too long. REALLY stretched my sense of disbelief. I found it impossible to believe he was able to do what he did, in the time that he had.
Fox saw how popular he was in DOFP and there giving QS the Wolverine treatment and just shoving him down our throats. He should have shared that scene with some other mutants. Lets see some other characters and powers come into play. Less is definitely more in this case.

And what he did to Apocalypse was stupid on so many levels. Apocalypse should NEVER get rag dolled like that. I'm not just speaking as a comic book fan. Even in the context of the movie. Apocalypse is the big bad. He needs to show us how powerful and unstoppable he is. Watching him fly around the screen like that just took me right out of the scene.

Yup. I agree, his fight scene with apoc is just stupid

Wouldn't it have been better if..
time slows down. QS walks into frame arrogantly smiling, goes to throw a punch and Apoc just grabs his fist. Stomps his knee out then flings him across the battle field. That would have been the "Oh Sh1+, Apocalypse is for real" moment that wanted to see.

visually the sequence looked amazing, esp [BLACKOUT]jumping out the window on the desk with the mansion exploding behind him[/BLACKOUT], and the timing of the music with the footage really was incredible, the concept was just alot of fun and i still can't get that song out of my head now

I can see it now, all the mutants running into the quickly exploding mansion to use their powers to save the kids... you see why that may not work quite as well? for all of them?

And if you slowed down the exploding so it is exploding abit at a time it wouldn't have the same impact of quicksilver running through an exploding mansion with the floor slowly cracking ect ect

Spot on.

Magneto/Fassbender was the highlight of this film.

Quicksilver's scene was entertaining and very well done but I came out of the movie reflecting on just how awesome Fassbender was.

You got you use your imagination. ;)
Maybe some mutants could use there powers to minimize the damage. Help catch kids blown away from the blast radius.

I am and the sequence would be incredibly watered down trying to fit everyone in.

Ok I'll give you that. But I still think the QS scene was unnecessarily drawn out. Would have been perfect if it was half as long. Quality over quantity.

Wolverine treatment? :loco: He was part of an ensemble and had one huge scene for himself. That's NOTHING like Wolverine.

I was talking about going forward in the franchise. His popularity is probably going to guarantee more screen time than he deserves.
