Fenrir said:Even so, the number of great 360 games that will be available a month from now will still far surpass those on the PS3 and the Wii. That alone should be incentive enough to put down money on a 360. The fact that even sweeter games are on the way early next year (nothing is more amazing than Mass Effect and Lost Planet will pwn) is just icing on the cake.
Jerry said:I don't see anything special with Lost Planet. I played the demo and really tried to be excited about it, but its just going to be another average action game from Capcom. Not great, not bad, but just average.
And the guy said he already pre ordered the Wii and doesn't plan on buying the PS3 when it comes out. So in his scenario, he should wait a little longer to buy the 360 if he already isn't convinced of buying it now. Your point with even better games coming early next year just reinforces my point. He could probably get a better deal on the 360 by then as well. If I were him, I would wait. Its smarter financially and logically speaking.
Fenrir said:Yeah, like Dead Rising.
Typically, holiday shopping seasons in which consoles get price drops in. If the 360 isn't getting a price cut this Christmas, it sure as hell won't in the Q1 2007 when Mass Effect is scheduled to hit stores. I don't see how it can be anymore "smarter financially and logically" to buy a 360 then.![]()
Phew, I thought it officially got canned.. i got worried.WhatsHisFace said:It disappeared half-way through E3. We've had NOTHING on this game since forever.![]()
WhatsHisFace said:I hope it's not canned.
I mean, it's possible, MS has dropped very promising titles before (Psychonauts, B.C., Citizen Zero, True Fantasy Live Online (though that was all Level 5's fault on that one))...
I really hope the Too Human trilogy makes it to the Xbox360.![]()
comicman said:Yes, there are some nice games coming out, but Jerry's point hit home with me. Were there really any games for the system out at present that made the console a must buy for me? The answer was no. Splinter Cell and Marvel Ultimate Alliance will run perfectly well on my PC (I've got a fairly powerful gaming rig), so to buy the 360 just for those seemed a bit of a waste.
comicman said:Thanks for all the advice guys. I went and traded in all my games as I planned to do, but in the end, I didn't buy a 360.

I've got the Wii to look forward to in December, and NWN2/Splinter Cell/Marvel Ultimate Alliance to keep me busy for a while, so I'm going to sit back and wait, see how things pan out. I'll likely re-asses what I'm looking for after the PS3 comes out, see if there's a price drop and a greater selection of the sort of games I like to play (action, RPG, FPS, Adventure).
