i'm really considering getting a 360 i already own a ps3 along with a wii.

the main reason i'm not sure is honestly i don't know what games are worth it on the system, i don't know much about the exclusives and most of the games that would have caught my eye i've got for the ps3

i'm looking at an offer in a shope here £189 for a 360 250gb along with gears of war 2, halo 3 and fable 2

can anyone really give me a good reason to get one:huh:

well obviously games like MK, MvsC3 etc would have been got on ps3 as it's all i have. but i'm thinking of future games or past exclusives

I have no idea about the future. Though it seems like Microsoft is moving further away from exclusive games and more toward timed exclusive DLC as their M.O. Though I'm sure they'll announce a few new exclusives at E3.

As for past exclusives...

The first Mass Effect, while it feels dated next to its sequel, is still a great game in its own right.
The Gears series is a lot of fun if you can stomach all the machismo they throw at you.
Halo: Reach is pretty good, especially if you've got some buddies to play co-op with.

If you like racing, Forza is supposedly really good.

If you're into JRPGs, Lost Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia are both alright.

There are also quite a few good exclusive downloadable games for 360.

And if motion gaming is you thing, there's always Kinect.

I wouldn't recommend buying one. I've been through 4 of them!!!

Unless you want Halo, I can't think of a good reason to buy a 360 when you have a PS3. Even then, Call of Duty should be good enough of an alternative.

Unless you are dying to play Gears, Forza(which is superior to GT) or Halo, i say you dont need one since you already have a PS3.

I've only been through one 360. I'd say buy one... they have Halo and Gear, plus... IMHO 3rd party games seem to be better on the 360 than PS3.

Plus... Live is just better too.

I have both systems and I'm always on the 360, rarely on PS3.

I've also only had one. It went through some hard times, but MS fixed it for free. :)

Go the PS3 if more games you like are on that system.

I have both systems. The only games I have on the 360 are the Halo games and Mass Effect. And soon Hitman: Blood Money because that wasn't released on the PS3. That's pretty much it.

So unless you're dying to get the exclusive titles, there's not really a reason to own both consoles.

well after years of contemplating I finally caved and bought a 360...should be here tomorrow...

can't wait!...

Honestly, I don't think a 360 is worth it. I regret having one. I want a PS3 instead as it has the exclusives I'm more interested in. (Uncharted and Ratchet and Clank and such) Halo and Gears of War aren't enough to warrant a purchase IMO.

Stick with PS3. Rumor is Microsoft is developing a successor for next year anyway.

hmmmm........this is a tough one. I own both a 360 and a PS3.

Personally, I prefer the 360. However, that could be due to the fact that I bought my 360 first, so I have more games for it, and I'm more "used" to it. When I buy new games, I tend to buy them for the 360.

I also prefer the way the 360 controller feels in my hand vs the PS3 controller.

Since you already own a PS3, I'd say get a 360 only if you find the exclusive games interesting.

oh, and for the record, I'm still on my 1st 360........going on 2 and 1/2 years strong ( knocks on wood ).........

At the people who have had their 360 break down on them more than 2 times, why don't you just bite the bullet and get a PS3? Sell the 360, and the games. :S

Because LIVE is still better than the PSn.

Because LIVE is still better than the PSn.

I'm curious about this, too. Why exactly is LIVE better than the PSN?

One thing I do love about the PS3 is that PSN is free. I don't play online much, but it's nice to know that it's available for me, free, when I want to.

I've never tried LIVE because you have to pay for the Gold subscription.

Live has a lot of good features. But none of them to me or worth paying for it when I can get something for free.

Yea I think for ur situation. PSn is more than adequate. But if u spend a lot of time online with ur friends you'd see the differences. Party and cross game chat being one, but something as simple As sending and receiving messages via XMB is much more of a hassle than it should be. Live is much better in that regard. Now is it 60 dollars better? That's debatable.
