lol, this topic is hilarious because it's just plain to see, that hardly anyone is as obsessed with sex as those who fear that our society is "too" obsessed with sex.

no......i think you guys are takin what i said a bit too seriously. i said that because i what i felt. i could be wrong, but ive had girls who werent interested in me and werent gay, and i knew it. mainly in high school. . but THAT one....i think she was. i dont know why i even told you guys, you are obviously too immature to understand what i was saying. i didnt say that eVERY girl who isnt interested in me are gay, that WOULD be stupid. but i just talkin about that one girl.

anyway, i wasnt too interested in any sex stuff anyway. in fact, most girls im interested in i do not have any plans to "do it". i just want to get to know her and see if we may have anything in common. companionship, someone to talk to. yes, kissing isnt bad either lol i love that, but full on sex is like tha LAST thing im interested in. obviously im a virgin, and im 100% proud of it. most ppl i know are not virgins and i find it kinda weird. i guess its just the way i was brought up. if i wanted i too could have probably "got some" if i had been part of the crowd. but i never have been. but i could have been easily. all you really have to do is give up your morals, act like a snob, listen to rap or punk or whatever music is deemed "popular" at the moment even though you think its sucks, and dress like a scumbag. oh yeah, that sounds real pleasant. but no, i never gave in to that, and because of that i was always kinda the odd man out. yeah its tough, because its like trying to have any kind of moral fiber in todays world, especially young ppl, is automatically gonna make you a loner. ive learned to live with that, but im being patient. right now i actually have met someone, and plan to take them out come Valentines day. and really, thats all it takes right now to make me happy. but ppl have to take things like sex and make it like THATS what its all about. there is more to life then sex.

So, here is wisdom...how about you suspend judgment on whether or not the rest of us are too obsessed with sex until, you finally mature enough to become interested in sex?

Because "not being interested in sex", and "deciding to wait until you are in love and married" are not the same thing.

My thing is...being very interested in sex from puberty on, is good, healthy, and totally natural.
"Perverse" means "unnatural", "turned away from what is right or good".
So, if someone has hit puberty, or passed it, and has NO interest in sex...I guess they are actually "perverts".

Serious question here. Do you agree that humans are too obsessed, or over-sexed? I believe that sex's main purpose is for reproduction. Perhaps some think differently? Im a Christian mind you, so im only speaking my thoughts.

Consider some of these facts:

1. A common response to a picture of an attractive women is "IWHI" or "She is hot".
2. Movies and TV programs are full of sexual themes, references, and dialog.
3. Ever watch Cops? Look at all of their prostitution stings.
4. Besides male and female attraction, we have bisexuals, homosexuals, lesbians, and pedophiles.
5. 97/90 percent of males and females, respectively, report of *********ing.
6. You hear reports all the time of rape, sexual abuse, and sexual assault.
7. There are ads, even on SSH, on how to increase your sexual attraction.
8. For decades, the main subject in most songs is about love and making love.

These are just some. What do you think? Why is sex abused all of the time? and why has it lost its innocense? Especially in the entertainment industry, they have really turned it into something very gross instead of something sweet and miraculous. Its become a commodity. That to me is just wrong, and sad.

First off, I would never put pedophiles into the same class as heterosexuals, bisexuals or homosexuals (lesbians ARE homosexual, so what you wrote above is redundant). Pedophiles have something wrong with them psychologically, those other classes really don't (speaking in broad generalizations). Second, rape is about power, not sex. Thirdly, *********ion is not wrong or unnatural and I get the sense that you may be categorizing it as such. Fourthly I think that, at least in our society with it's Puritanical views about sexuality and treating it as something taboo and "dirty", there's a huge amount of sexual repression going on in this country. People are not in touch with their own sexuality for the most part and are often afraid to just accept it as a part of themselves and enjoy it. Because of that, I believe there becomes this huge urge to live vicariously through others from a sexual standpoint and so titillation in advertising, sexuality in the media and pornography get greater emphasis than they might otherwise if everyone was too busy enjoying their own sexuality to view or care about those things much. And even then, there is still nothing wrong with sexuality in the media, advertising or pornography mediums. The only thing that makes them "wrong" to some people is their own hangups and "morality" about such things.

Sex and love are both very beautiful things, if not mutually exclusive concepts by any means. They are a part of life, not something to be ashamed of.
