We now know officially that the DCCU and the DCTVU are separate universes :(

However it has never been fully declared whether or not Constantine will be in-continuity with Arrow & The Flash. With the allusions to Dr. Fate (and more promised) I suppose it's possible. I know they are on different networks and all, but that would be intriguing. My assumption is that Gotham is a world onto itself. Especially since 1) it's set in a different time period and 2) it has been confirmed that Batman will not be appearing on tv.

Given they are on different networks, I can't imagine any connection. Doubly so because I vaguely recall hearing that there would be a Nightwing appearance on Arrow this season.

The guys who work on CW have said The Flash and Arrow are their own universe not connected with Constantine.

Probably mentioned in another thread, but with the cancellation and Stephen Amell saying he would cameo I wonder if they'll merge the universes. I honestly think that this is a show best served for a Netflix or Hulu, where they can get a bit darker than network tv will allow them to go. Or perhaps AMC.

I think the best we can hope for at this point is for Matt Ryan to reprise his role in one of the other DC/Vertigo shows or movies.

Unless it does get taken by the CW (not likely at all) then more than likely never happening.

I forgot where I read it from but Amell mentioned that there was talks of connecting the two shows concerning the Lazarus Pit.

The greatest flaw of it all is of all of Constantine's 30 year history, the Lazarus Pits don't mean a thing to him whatsoever. Attempting such an idea smacks of the forced uninspired writing as the failed New 52 comic.

No I think Amelll said that Oliver would come across this guy(John Constantine) who was familiar with the Lazarus Pit and all it's affect's and that's how they'd find away to crossover.

You mean like how he also never drove around in a hippie van Chaz's Taxi with a talking dog shady psychic solving mysteries?

The Lazarus Pit would have been a good way to introduce Constantine simply because John commonly deals with the magical, occult, and supernatural and the Lazarus Pit certainly falls into that category. Even if he's never demonstrated knowledge of it in the comics, it wouldn't be surprising that he would know about Lazarus Pits provided he occupied a universe where they existed.

Then have a silhouette Batman cameo like how the Supergirl pilot has Superman in a tiny compacity (as so reported via casting) or use whoever they'll cast as Nightwing for TNT's Titans. Don't use a character who has no tied to it whatsoever to justify another forced crossover

Now it will be, I never thought it will happen.

This is pretty much off-topic, but the fact that they're bringing Matt Ryan in to retroactively unify the "Flarrow"-verse with the world that Daniel Cerone and Co. created pretty much cements it in my mind that we will eventually see storyline crossover between the "Flarrow"-verse and CBS' Supergirl.

I also wouldn't be surprised if we end up seeing more of Constantine (and possibly Zed and/or Chaz) in the "Flarrow"-verse beyond his initial 'one-shot' appearance depending on how the storyline involving him is received.

I don't like that Superman is well-know in supergirl-verse, it don't link well with Arrow or Flash.
Cisco was surprised about meta-human that weren't from the PA.

Supergirl does clearly take place in its own reality separate from that of the "Flarrow"-verse, but that doesn't mean storyline crossover can't/won't end up happening... especially since we've already seen the "Flarrow"-verse introduce its own internal conceptual Multiverse via the concluding events of "Fast Enough".

Probably not, but I hope the entire first season is added to CWSeed like they did for 90's Flash.

Did you somehow miss the news that Matt Ryan is bringing the character of Constantine to Arrow?

There's no correct answer to this question now other than "Yes".

Dude, or dudette, I don't care about it being connected or not.

Either way they can say this is different Constantine under the whole "alternate universes" thing.

Just because the same actor is playing the same character doesn't mean the two universes are explicitly linked. Amanda Pays played Tina McGee in both Flash shows and we know they aren't in the same universe.

We will have to see if this Constantine character actually references anything from the NBC show. I would hope they would resolve the cliffhanger from Constantine season 1, but they may just want to use the same actor with a blank slate. Explicitly linking them together could hamstring Arrow/Flash/Legends/Vixen writers when it comes to the possible use of characters like Felix Faust or Jim Corrigan.

That's the exception not the rule. Chances are he's playing the same version. As it's often is when an actor reprises a role.

There's like a 99% chance its' the same one.

I'm not speculating as to the chances one way or the other. I'm just saying it isn't an explicit confirmation. Digific has a history of jumping the gun severely when it comes to stuff like this.
