Is this true?

"Modernizing"(hehe, just a coined word :D) is the key to attracting audiences
As in Batman begins, the suit is an army sneaking suit, unlike the made up metal ones in the "gay movies". And the tumbler is a military vehicle unlike some funny roadster...if you get my drift.

yeah but they could still do that and not change the mythos.

It's not like that the little kids know the mythos, and for us older kids it's just there for fun.

True, but they haven't really changed the "mythos" other than redesign the look of the major villians, any more than BTAS did.

well mr. freeze wasn't a dumb criminal who wanders into a cryogenics lab. the cop wasn't the first clayface, no gordon until now and he's suddenly commisioner, introducing batgirl before robin. i like that joker is still crazy and pretty much unchanged(in manner), but they could have still done everything similar to the way btas did it and still be its own show. btas was great i don't know why people think this show is better than that.

Who said this show was better than B:tas? if so they are so not cool.

I just read page 1 completely no one says that the batman is better that B:TAS.

yeah I didnt see that either...and I just got done reading it again to make sure.

So yeah, SUB ZERO what are you talking about?

I never said it was better than BTAS. And as far as changes goes, BTAS is just as guilty of changing the "mythos" as anyone. Mr Freeze was originally nothing more than a diamond thief with a gimmick. BTAS opted to go with Penguin as a mutant ala Tim Burton. BTAS changed Two-face's origin. Clayface on BTAS was a combination of two different Clayfaces from the comics. BTAS changed Tim Drake's background. That's only a few. BTAS was a much better written show, but it changed as much of the mythos as The Batman did. To criticize The Batman for changing things and not BTAS is ignorance of the facts.

Confused how? I was explaining to Sub-Zero how BTAS was just as guilty of changing things in the Batman mythos as The Batman is.

It bugs me that some people WANT this show to be worse than BTAS.

this is the quote i was talking about. r-taco says that like b:tas wasn't good at all. i for one love that they made mr. freeze a better character on btas. the stories were good and the changes were for the better or to make the stories better. i really don't see the changes helping "the batman" at all. its like they are just there because kids want to see that kind of stuff. i know this this aimed for kids but it alienates people like me who grew up on btas.

R-taco was just being stupid that show was great and changibg freeze's mythos was good his original story sucked balls.
