I haven't been super hyped for JW but as it gets closer, I can't wait. Nostalgia from watching JP as a kid on my Dad's VHS player thingy (I forgot name of the machine lol) :hehe: Ah those were the days :) JP2 wasn't as terrible as some people say :o Not on the level as the first one, but still fun to watch now and then. JP3 - ehhh errm. Well, there were dinosaurs in it ;)

I loved JP1, 2 was meh and 3 was okay.

I read the first book when I was a kid. I picked it up in a used bookstore with my Dad and read the whole thing in a week. This was a few months after the movie came out and I was sad a bunch of great stuff was missing like the river ride with Grant and the Kids through the Aviary and at the end with the drugged out T-Rex at the bottom of the waterfall that almost ate them all. Some of that made it into sequels but still, there was a lot I'd have loved to see.

Not a Jurassic Park fan?

I'm a huge fan of the original. I saw it in theaters as a teen and it's one of my most favorite cinema memories. The girl I took grabbed my arm so tight during the Dino attacks and we made out the entire trip back to her home. So... Yeah, I love me some JP... But aside from a detail here or there, what I have seen from JW just ain't blowing up my skirt, so to speak.

I haven't been reading a ton of details. Heard JG wasn't in it though, doh!

I have some interest in Jurassic World.
I like the first Jurassic Park, and I liked the third one on my only view of it, have not seen the second.

The Lost World has the funny thing where all the problems with dinosaurs eating everybody is caused by the main characters who we're supposed to root for.

any one know if McDonalds or Burger king are doing Jurassic World toys??...

not like i'll be getting happy meals or anything.... just wondering......

I know Dairy Queen has a special promo Blizzard for Jurassic World.

I saw that commercial and it made me laugh. Good on them for making something entertaining out of a commercial.

As a kid, the scene that would always freak me out was when the T-Rex is screwing with the car that contains Lex and Tim. The car was getting crushed and they were bloody.

Yeah, & I'm glad the T-Rex chomped on the lawyer. :yay:

Although, later it might have given him indigestion. :o

Wayne Knight as the sleazy bastard was perfect casting.

JP was the first movie I left and was just in awe just on the nostalgia factor alon JW was in my sights but you put Pratt in anything and I'm sold. I freaking love that guy

I muthacussin' HATE JP2. There's that thing you pointed out (seriously... F Vaughn in that movie) and then there's the idiocy of characters like Moore's whom we are told is this brilliant field scientist. She's been in the wilds with incredible predators of the world and knows how to survive ect. We are then told that the T-Rex has one of the most incredible senses of smell and that they are headed towards Raptor territory. "Oh are you bleeding?" "Oh, no, it's just baby T-Rex blood. No biggie. So... Everybody ready to forget that this conversation ever happened and just continue on like we're all complete idiots instead of the informed and intelligent scientists that we're supposed to be?" :cmad:

GAWD!!! I hate Tommy Lasorda!!!!

I hurt my back at work, its nothing major but I'm bed bound and bored. Luckily I have weed and the internet.

Has anyone watched Sense8 yet? I am tempted to watch the first ep but I struggle to start watching new series for some reason

I've watched it a few times, but it's like one of those rainy day off from work and no school assignments- while browsing the net here and there movies.

That's not even close to being even a half hearted endorsement. :cwink:

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times says: "It's like one of those rainy day off from work or no school assignments- while browsing the net here and there movies."

It's worth watching on a rainy day with nothing to do, cause Jeff Goldblum is in it with dinosaurs. Any better? :D I can't defend it as a good movie per say, but it's worth watching I think.

I just got a gut feeling that JW will only be okay...
Chronicle was thematically and symbolically nothing like Akira at all and I have never seen why anyone compares the two whatsoever.

Which proves my point.
