according to this article there's one passing reference to Daredevil. Do you think this is unrealistic given that DD's series takes place in the same city?

Article also said there's a big arc where they try to convince a judge that someone can kill people with their psychic powers. This is silly since NY has dealt with an alien invasion and killer robot prior to this. But I would think you still need concrete evidence and all that you would for any normal court case.

So exactly one year, one month, and one day after my cousin/roommate's mom died in a car accident, his biological dad passed away in his sleep last night.

He wasn't nearly as close with him (which I'm kind of glad for, because it's less of a double whammy), but it's still messed up.

I really liked the first movie, and think it's Leterrier's best so far, or my favorite of his work.
The sequel is something I wondered when will happen, and I'm glad it will be released soon.

After watching more of JJ, I've come to the conclusion that they can leave the big fancy stuff to the movies and make the shows more street level with less special effects. It really works how they have it going now and it's ****ing amazing. If they change it up so they have X-Men style laser blasts and lightning flying around then it'll turn to crap quick.

I'm not opposed to that, don't mind it if it works better for the story creators have in mind.
I'm amazed how after stuff like these some folks still consider superheroes to be basically children entertainment.

Eh... That works for JJ and DD but... Nope I want some full on super power stuff with Cage and Fist. Danny has an origin tied to a mystical realm from another dimension and has chi powers he got from the heart of a dragon. If they simply went with him being a great fighter that occasionally busted out the iron fist power I would be miffed. Cage too. Un breakable skin and the strength to lift tons... Yeah that needs to be showcased. I don't think it's the powers and traditional super hero stuff that makes Flash or Supergirl less than they could be. It the general level of the writing and characterization ect.

I for one hope that stuff like Ghost Rider, Blade or even something like The Runaways can get the Netflix treatment but still keep the fantasy elements and powers at the forefront.
