I've defo heard dickweed on tele on American programmes. I've started calling people dicksplash. So far I've got a blackeye and some kids laughed at me while they robbed my phone.

1.
Dickweed
1) A completely self-absorbed, useless ******* with **** for brains;

2) A person so irredeemably stupid that their idiotic behavior causes pain to everyone that they interact with.
My neighbor's such a ****ing dickweed.

urban dictionary...not sure how "urban" dickweed is

Goyer is just showing his age by thinking that this was an insult that "the kids" were using

1.Dicksplash
Old 80s school insult recently ressurected
You f*****g dicksplash!
by Ze Lion October 06, 2003

Ze Lion was using it 10 years ago...bet Ze Lion has bare mates

Some of these complaints about the dialogue...(shakes head)

But then "Where did you train? On a farm" is an example of great dialogue?

Whatever.

Sometimes I think people just want more quips.

Conversations, dialect and observations are "terrible". But "one liners"? That's where its at.

I hear ya on that sir! RDJ gets a pass on this doesn't he? What a joke...

He's bringing it back, yo!

I'm going to try and help him. Because he gave me the proper Superman I've always wanted and deserved.

One that I've wanted to see for as long as I can remember and put myself through watchin Lois and Clark (I'd be lying if i said I didn't like it but i was a kid so it's all good, I needed my Supes fix) and the hours and hours and years and years of ****ing Smallville for the biggest anticlimax cgi Supes and no full suit shot. (It is what it is Daz stop goin on about it you loved Smallville you little geek boy and you know it) shhhhhh tell no one. I best stop now because I'm talking to myself...few beers and it's past midnight so it's Nolan's crazy chattin macca time.

Shut up Dicksplash

BooM! Bringin it back

"Where did you train?! On a farm?!?!" is great because it's a true thing about Superman and sounds like something a character would say...it's a good "insult"..."dick splash" was just stupid.

I liked the "train on a farm" thing too. Mainly because that's something I could believe a trained warrior saying in a battle with someone who...grew up on a farm. I liked when Zod swung superman around by his cape for the same reason. Who wouldn't do that to a dude wearing a giant cape if they could? Superman was asking for both of those insulting things, lol.

Kids say the darndest things!

But seriously, I have no problem with teens making stupid insults to each other.

Maybe that's Zack Snyder's way of saying capes are bad ideas ;)

But I don't like the idea of people DYING because of Superman's CAPE of all things.

To be fair, if Zod hadn't flung him by the cape, he'd have flung him another way, as he demonstrated.

It's actually the contrary. We were going to get a capeless Superman until Snyder said "lolno."

Kind of wondering if Snyder and Goyer will slowly break away from the realistic elements that were shown of their DCU world in "MOS" when they start working on this film in the same way that Marc Webb is doing with the Spider-Man franchise and its current sequel.

Then again, who's idea was it to make MOS into a world that looked as realistic as the real one?

^ Goyan.

Snyder decided to drain the color from our world because that's more realistic ;)

I think Snyder (or maybe Goyer/Nolan) mistakenly equates normal or more saturated colors as a mismatch to the tone he was going for. But brighter colors don't mean a kiddy disney movie.

A little bit off topic, but I personally didn't like how the colors were eventually dimmed off completely from the Harry Potter Series after the 2nd film. There are times where it's even hard to see what's going on to the very dark lighting and the grayish colors on the film.

I really hope that Snyder decides to change his mind about the colors filters for this film like how Marc Webb did for his second spider-man film.

But yeah, I'm curious to see if he'll still present a "realistic looking" world or if he'll transition into making the film look more "fantasy" oriented like his previous films.

I don't think Nolan ought to be blamed for the desaturation of MoS. Just look at the rich, natural color palette of TDKR and compare it to MoS.

I still like the idea of introducing all these larger than life characters in a 'realistically' shot way.
