Now I need to rewatch that old episode where Mac and Frank go clubbing and Frank tries to show Mac "the move."
Last episode was boring and relied way too heavily on past episodes' jokes.
Yes. It's very lazy writing and unoriginal content.
Week before was hilarious. This week was weak.
That's a yes too. It's my opinion. Not every episode can be or is gold. The people that eat up every episode of anything and everything are the ones that get hot and bothered. I love this show enough to know when it's not good and when it is good.
I enjoy callbacks when they're done right. In this instance I thought it was pitch perfect. There are very few callbacks in this show that I think aren't done well.I liked this week's episode but I do agree that they shouldn't go the callback route in every episode. We've all seen the show, we all know what happened. Just give us a new scheme for the gang to ruin.
I remember that they started off fairly normal if mildly reprehensible. It's been brilliant how they have slowly but steadily become more unhinged and increasingly despicable people. You don't see it until you go back to the beginning and binge watch. I think the finale will culminate in either all their deaths and/or they hit the apex of their dysfunction and cause some kind of serious incident that forever leaves them all reviled people. What past jokes exactly was the episode relying on? It was really more of a meta examination about how the show went from fairly grounded. Like how the characters were fairly normal, albeit slightly horrible human beings, to Charlie having some form ******ation, and Mac being gay, or Dennis being a sociopath.
