Dude, that new Batman v Superman trailer is off the chain. I am pretty shocked that they actually revealed Doomsday. But hey, they needed to show off dat holy trinity, doe.
I really enjoyed that Clark, Bruce, Lex interaction. This trailer won me over for Jesse Eisenberg as Luthor. It's going to be a younger, zany take on the character that finally doesn't have a real estate fetish. It only took almost 40 years.
Those were my favorite parts as well. You could almost leave out Doomsday, keep the conflict centered around those two and I'd enjoy it just the same. If not more.
edit: To clarify I do not think that the thing we see is Doomsday. It's just symbolism like the first Spider-Man 3 teaser poster.
Well Doomsday was made by Kryptonians as per one of the origins. He had the whole Darwinian evolution done so hard Apocalypse would shed a tear.
I think they've had a good half dozen Doomsdays of one sort or another including one made by using Supermans DNA and manipulating it. I think that was the Justice League cartoon. So they could use Zods to make him.
He has had some character development like the time Superman died and he spent a thousand years fighting as a Superman stand-in with full intelligence instead of being a dumb brute. Of course it all got undone by the end.
Yeah I liked that story, that one story in the hundreds they wrote about him. Seems like DC spent most of the last five years constantly using and trying to shake up Doomsday to make him interesting, and it's all kind of sucked ass.
They were created at the same time for basically the same storyline, but Bane really was everything that Doosmday should have been. Granted there's been a lot of misuse of Bane over the years, it's still a richer character with more credible stories to his name.
