It's Offical NO BANNA!

"Louis Leterrier talked about Hulk 2 last night on French TV Show "la grande émission". He mentioned a 120 $ budget and said it won't be a sequel (that's the scoop I guess). He's looking for a bookish glass-wearing type for Banner, no mention of Eric Bana."

So they're looking for someone else. I'd say it's pretty offical that they're dumping Bana. He's a fantastic actor. I don't know if he made a great Banner though. They'll find some one perfect this time I think.

CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This sucks, not only are we not getting Bana we are also not getting a sequal? This really does drag down my hopes for this movie :csad: :cmad:

What´s LL going to do with a 120$? Use a hand held camera and pour green paint over himself? :woot:

wow,let the guessing games begin..

I never thought Bana was a good choice from the start. He's a fine actor, but he didn't fit as Bruce Banner. Plus the movie was so dreadfully serious! Ang Lee's directorial style irked me as well. The story was weak and the "repressed memory" thing was was waayyy overdone as well. The ending was really bizarre and by then I was terribly disappointed. The new "news" is encouraging. The new Hulk movie should ignore the first completely.

The first one had a budget of 137 million. Given that the actors won't be as high priced, and LL said that the money would go towards the film and not him, makes me believe that this is more than enough. First reports were 100 million.

$120???? We're not gonna get man-in-a-suit. We're gonna get man-in-a-drugstore-kids'-Hulk-costume!

If they can´t even make Evan Almighty for 200 million dollars then what hope is there fore the Hulk with a 120 million? It really does seem that the price of movies has gone up in recent years.

We are going to get a gorilla painted green :csad:

You guys understand most movies are so high priced because the actors are paid 10-15 million. If you have 4 main characters that can be as much as 40-60 million just to pay the actors. Maguire on Spider-Man was payed like 14 million.

Actually, $120 is fine depending on how the budget is shared. Plus do not forget very few movies actually get filmed under budget or at their budget. Generally the end cost is higher.

The only thing that worries me here is that it is no sequel...I hope it is not an adaptation of the TV show which is my greatest fear.

Avi said they wanted to be closer to the comic this time. They have mentioned the Tv show only as the tone. I think all is well.

Then that would be fine and in case I am not going to judge something until I have seen it.

By the way, reading that little blurb no mention of Bana does not mean he is definitely out even though that is very likely.

Yeah, it doesn't really say he's out but it might as well. I mean "He's looking for a bookish glass-wearing type for Banner," is pretty telling. On one hand I'm happy they are moving forward. Also, we haven't heard anything about Jellyfish, jizards and Nano-Meds. They have ideas of what they want and are trying to get their ducks in a row. On the other hand, I sure hope they don't mess this up.

Not a sequel.. now I'm confused again. I thought they already said it wasn't a remake.

Avi said it was a "Re-Start" which was the cause of a lot of fighting for a while as to what "Re=Start" means. I guess we know now what Re-Start means. Maybe. :woot:

Not a sequel?Well i guess we can cross out Bana and Connelly then. *sighs*

I don't it want to be a restart. Why can't they just continue where the first movie left off? With Bana on the run in South America?

Thank God! These movies do best when they stick closer to the source material. I can't believe Ang Lee said he ditched the whole Gamma bomb thing because nukes just aren't as intimidating to the public anymore. Hello, North Korea!? Nukes will always be relevant until they cease to exist.

They may well start of there. We don't know yet. Like I said to Sava a sequel is a continuation of a specific story line. I would think of this movie more like a follow up to the first movie or the continuing adventures of The Hulk. Comic books arn't sequels but continuations of a characters story. His adventures. Hope that helps:yay:

meh, gave up on Bana not coming back a long time ago, i hope they get Cilian Murphy, he's a really good match for Banner IMO

How can it be a sequel if they plan on altering stuff established in the first film?

I said the same thing about the movie. :oldrazz: :woot:

I'm not saying it's a sequel. I'm saying it's not a sequel.
