Dominic Purcell Up for The Incredible Hulk?

Your comparing to movies that have been hugely successful which is why your calling it a failure. Those movies are in no way failures. It doesn't matter if it wasn't "successful as F4" it still made a ton of dough for the studio. I find it astounding that movies getting numbers in the upper 300 million range are really being called failures. Amazing. There is a big difference between failure and disappointing.
my bad, i meant to say Disappointing in BB's case and SR is between HUGE dissapointment and Failure

I ask, How do you know what movies they are looking at? Are you envolved in the thought process? Could they possibly be looking at Batman Begins and Spider-Mas 2? Or maybe looking at what worked in the Hulk and what didn’t work. Making an assumption that they’re just looking at the crapy movie it ridiculous.

I find it funny that you actually have the balls to say “I am normally a good judge of when a comic book movie is going wrong, and i predict this one will be poor” without knowing a single thing with regards to the story line, FX or budget yet. Everything you liked about the movie is being changed? How do you know this? Besides “It’s going to be closer to the comic” we no nothing. If it’s closer to the comic, Hulk fans are going to love it.

The director and writer they have gone for, tell me they are going for a 100 minute action movie with little substance.

And i am a good judge of CB movies, i have previously predicted that FF, X3, Elektra and The Punisher would be poor movies (though i personally like the Punisher movie). I also predicted that X2 and Spidey 2 would be better then their predecessors, that Batman Begins would be the best CB movie ever and that SR would be good but not the cream of the crop.

Now when it comes to box office predictions, i am terrible, go figure?

I mainly disagree but okay. I think dvd rentals and sales need to start being looked at more considering how much they make for studios these days.

Actually I believe they combine marketing. They obviously did for SR. And so your gonna sit there and act like you just didn't fudge down the worldwide numbers for the movies?? Lol what a joke. And Superman was far from a failure. Disappointing?? Yes very. Failure?? Nope.

I didnt fudge down anything, i wrote what i thought was right and i wasnt, SORRRRRYYYYYYY!!!!! And in the case of BB $150 million was its budget WITHOUT marketing factored in.

And also, I dont consider those movies as failures, just as i didnt think Hulk and King Kong were failures, but that is generally what people on this board think. And if you dont believe me, visit those boards and see for yourself.

Actually yeah you shold be sorry. Your stating unsupported facts. Next time you talk about something you should try and make sure you know something about. And EVEN IF THAT IS THE CASE with BB it still brought in a ton of dough and great reviews. The only thing it had was a disappointing opening.

well, in that case Hulk is a HUGE success, Hulk as a character made 800mill in 2003 alone. But people dont look at DVD and stuff for some reason, hell, they dont even look at Overseas box office either

I agree. Hulk may have had disappointing numbers and mixed reviews but it was still successful.

BB WAS dissapointing in terms of what it was expected to make and in my opinion SHOULD have made. Before the DVD came out of BB people were debating on whether it would get a sequel. I rememeber because i was on the board saying it defintately would.

...nope...but lets just drop it its not going anywhere.
:D... ok, lets talk about how bad SR is doing

That's all good and fine if you have something to base it on. All I'm saying is, in this case you have nothing to base it on. Did you predict that The Hulk would be a blockbuster? You say it's a great movie. There are millions who would disagree. Are your conclusions based on what you think of the movie or facts? It seems to me that a lot of people liked FF. Not just comic fans but people in general. It's sequal was greenlight right ways. The Punisher sequal is non the way. As far as X-2 and SM2, hell anyone could have predicted that those movies would do great. People love the first ones. Batman is also a pretty easy one as well. From what I've heard SR is total crap with nothing to offer but good FX. Hmmmmm let me try this, The Darknight will be a blockbuster. There I said it and now it's fact.

We're talking about comic book movies Sava. If you want to get picky, $62 M worth of peole went to see a certin comic book movie the first week it came out. Then it drop 70% the second bigest drop off in history

CJ i didnt try and predict with Hulk because i honestly wasnt sure of it befor ei saw it. And how could anyone predict that the sequels to two good superhero movies would be better than them? How many sequels are better than their predecessors. And you really need to watch SR yourself, i loved it. Oh and Batman Begins was a lot harder to predict than TDK is.

Why dont we just agree to disagree, you obviously hate my views, and i dont agree with yours, so lets just leave it.

Nope I liked X3 more than SR. Batman Begins is probably my favorite comic book film yet and I was very disappointed with SR. And yes TDK is WB's top priority for 2008.

I didn't mean to come off so rough Jamon. I understand your view and respect them. I disagree yes but Cracker jack doesn't hate anyone. Not even Wilhem and SOG
