Muk has always been one of my mains so I'm pretty damn happy he's getting a sick aloloan form.

My God, lol. I didn't realize new Pokemon were revealed today. My introduction to this was seeing google filled with discussions on Tsareena being the new Pokemon waifu when I went to see if any new Sun & Moon news came out today...Guess Gardevoire has a new Pokeporn rival, lmao. It's sad because he/she was just revealed today yet pics, and threads are already popping up.

The Pokemon Company has shared the latest information, video, and screenshots of Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon,

introducing new Pokemon Sivally, Hakamo-o, Kommo-o, Steenee, Tsareena, and Ribombee, Alolan variants of Grimer and Muk, and new characters Olivia and Ilima.

Get the details below.
■ New Pokemon
Sivally (evolved from Type: Null)

  • Category: Snythetic Pokemon
  • Type: Normal
  • Height: 7’07”
  • Weight: 221.6 lbs.
  • Ability: RKS System
  • Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_001.jpg

When Type: Null gains a partner it can trust, it deliberately destroys the restraining device it wears. Once released from that heavy mask, the Pokémon’s speed increases substantially. Freed of the restraining effects of its mask, Silvally’s senses are heightened, and it reverts to its natural temperament. It has a wild nature, but it will obey a Trainer that it trusts. And to protect that Trainer from danger, it will put its own life on the line. Silvally is said to have been created to oppose a threat…

By inserting exclusive items into the drive on Silvally’s head, its RKS System can be activated, causing Silvally’s somatic cells to mutate and glow. The RKS System enables it to change its type, and its cells glow with different colors of light, depending on its type.

Silvally’s Ability is called the RKS System Ability, which no previous Pokémon has ever had. By having Silvally hold items that correspond to each Pokémon type, it can change its own type. Multi-Attack is a move that only Silvally can learn, and this move’s type changes based on which type-related item Silvally is holding.

Hakamo-o (evolved from Jangmo-o)

  • Category: Scaly Pokemon
  • Type: Dragon/Fighting
  • Height: 3’11”
  • Weight: 103.6 lbs.
  • Ability: Bulletproof/Soundproof
  • Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_002.jpg
When a Jangmo-o evolves into Hakamo-o, it breaks from its fellows and begins to live on its own to train itself. Wherever it can find Pokémon to battle against, it seems to appear.
Hakamo-o dances before battle to show its strength, clanging its scales together to make them ring out. When this dance reaches its climax, Hakamo-o bellows a fierce war cry to challenge its opponent.
Its scales make for fine armor, so Hakamo-o doesn’t worry about self-defense as it makes multitudes of strikes and overwhelms its opponents. But, as a result, its scales often become damaged and get torn off. They grow back immediately, so this does not cause Hakamo-o undue concern. In fact, it views the number of lost scales as proof of how ferociously it has fought, and it brandishes its bared arms in a boast of victory.

Kommo-o (evolved from Hakamo-o)

  • Category: Scaly Pokemon
  • Type: Dragon/Fighting
  • Height: 5’03”
  • Weight: 172.4 lbs.
  • Ability: Bulletproof/Soundproof
  • Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_003.jpg
At the end of its harsh training, Hakamo-o evolves into this overwhelmingly powerful form. It returns to the land of its birth, where it watches over the Jangmo-o from a distance.
There is a legend that says Kommo-o is covered in glittering scales in order to drive away a great darkness covering the world. The reason these Pokémon seek out battle is to gain the power needed to defeat this darkness. When it detects someone approaching, this Pokémon rings the scales on its tail to announce its presence. It has no desire to battle against weak Pokémon.
Kommo-o’s greatest move is the uppercut. It swings its arm up from below in a punch of great skill and force, sending its foe flying into the sky. By raising its arms aloft, it can generate a force powerful enough to change the face of the surrounding landscape!
Clanging Scales is a move that only Kommo-o can learn. It scrapes the scales covering its body against one another, attacking with a great clamor. After using this move, Kommo-o’s Defense is lowered.
Ribombee (evolved from Cutiefly)

  • Category: Bee Fly Pokemon
  • Type: Bug/Fairy
  • Height: 0’08”
  • Weight: 1.1 lbs.
  • Ability: Honey Gather / Shield Dust
image: http://gematsu.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/10/Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_004.jpg
Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_004.jpg
Ribombee collect flower nectar and pollen to make into balls known as Pollen Puffs. These serve as food, and what’s more, they also can cause effects like paralysis or dizziness. Ribombee may use puffs to strike their opponents during battles. Some of the Pollen Puffs that Ribombee make also have relaxing effects or can relieve tiredness. These are distributed around the Alola region as high-priced supplements.
Ribombee hate getting rained on. They’re covered with fluffy hairs that hold the pollen they’ve gathered, and the rain makes them wet and dirty. Alolan people know that if Ribombee are busily visiting the fields of flowers, you can be sure that the fair weather will continue.

Alolan Grimer

  • Category: Sludge Pokemon
  • Type: Poison/Dark
  • Height: 2’04”
  • Weight: 92.6 lbs.
  • Ability: Poison Touch / Gluttony
  • Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_007.jpg
When the population of the Alola region increased, dealing with their garbage became a serious problem. As a solution, Grimer were imported from other regions. They fed primarily on garbage, so their body composition changed—as did their form. What appear to be teeth in this Pokémon’s mouth are in fact residual toxins from the garbage it eats, which have hardened and crystallized. No method has been discovered to break down these crystals. Direct contact with them presents a danger.
Alolan Grimer is always eating garbage, but its constant hunger will cause it to begin eating other manufactured objects if it runs out of garbage to feed on. There are more than a hundred Alolan Grimer in Alola’s garbage-processing plants, and all of the garbage produced in the Alola region is taken for use as their food.
Alolan Muk (evolved from Alolan Grimer)

  • Category: Sludge Pokemon
  • Type: Poison/Dark
  • Height: 3’03”
  • Weight: 114.6 lbs.
  • Ability: Poison Touch / Gluttony
  • Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_008.jpg
Alolan Muk eats whatever is in reach without pausing, and if it feels the sharp pangs of hunger, it runs amuck. It’s thought that its voracious appetite stems from an inability to maintain its energy levels without a constant influx of toxins. Toxins have accumulated in Alolan Muk’s body from its steady diet of various waste products and manufactured materials. This accumulation has brought about a chemical change, producing a new kind of toxin.
Alolan Muk has the same poisonous crystals as Alolan Grimer, but they’re not limited to its mouth—they extend from all over the surface of its body. Alolan Muk uses them to attack, just like other Pokémon use their fangs or claws. And these highly toxic crystals are easily knocked loose, making them extraordinarily dangerous!
The Grimer and Muk in the Alola region produce and store their toxins within their bodies. So, unlike the Grimer and Muk in other regions, you won’t detect any unpleasant aromas when you draw near one.

■ Kahunas

Olivia

Olivia is the kahuna of Akala Island, the second island you visit on your island challenge. Her skill is extraordinary, as can only be expected from someone chosen to serve as kahuna at such a young age. Yet she still insists that she is just a normal girl.

■ Trial Captains
Captain Ilima

Pokemon-Sun-Moon_10-14-16_010.jpg

An expert in Normal-type Pokémon, Captain Ilima graduated from the Trainers’ School and is a hero to the students of that school.

So help me Arceus if S&M has less than 100 new pokemon like X&Y.
This should not be a trend.

There's an image of the starter final evolutions online, they have version exclusives like Lycanroc. It's probably fake, but if you want to see it...

I am A-OK with less than 100 new Pokemon per gen. The number of catchable Pokemon is absurd now. Pepper in some new ones, but focus on gameplay innovations rather than dumping 150 new Pokemon into the mix.

If true, all the more reason for me to go Moon. Given the 2 best starter leak designs are on it, and the worst (IMO) on Sun.

So the S&M (Sun and Moon, heh, this gen abbreviates horribly, someones going to think Pokemon players are talking bondage) demo comes out in a few hours I think, so there's that heh. Eager to try it like everyone else on here.

That said there's one bit of Pokenews going under the radar. Go to Serebii, and check their news section. Apparently Nintendo leaked a new Pokemon (on purpose, or carelessness?). An image of the box for the Sun & Moon Tgc card game box was released. If you look closely though you can see a new Pokemon on the side of the box. It's a similar little girl looking type like Mawile, but with what could belong metal hair covering some of it's face in an almost emo style. Kinda has a sea anemone look though, so most likely a multistage water evo line? No news on anything about it obviously, but if you're chomping at the bits for more Pokemon reveals, there you go, kind of lol.

Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda On How They’ve Succeeded In Keeping Pokémon Relevant. October 17, 2016 . 8:00am

Junichi Masuda recently sat down for an interview to talk a bit about maintaining the series’ relevance, its appeal to players outside its demographic, the importance of handheld systems, and more.

The Pokémon franchise just recently celebrated its 20th anniversary this year and countless fans will no doubt be scrambling to get their hands on the newest entries to the series, Pokémon Sun & Moon, when they release in just about a month’s time. But just how has the franchise managed to stay successful and relevant after such a long period of time? Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda, who is also composing some tracks in Sun & Moon, recently sat down for an interview with EDGE to talk a bit about maintaining the series’ relevance, its appeal to players outside its demographic, the importance of handheld systems, and more. [Thanks, Nintendo Everything.]

First off, when asked how the franchise has managed to maintain success over the past two decades, Masuda replied with the following:
“There are so many variables in the games market that it’s not easy to define why Pokémon has had sustained success. There’s no doubt that the core elements of collecting, battling and trading have a lasting appeal when it comes to kids. But the thing that all our games really have in common is that we start by designing them with the younger audience in mind, and then add elements for our other core players. This means that even people who have never played the game before can easily buy it and get stuck in.”

Next, Masuda also noted that the series’ appeal to a diverse demographic of players has hinged on the competitive nature of its gameplay:
“There are lots of activities that can be enjoyed by adults alongside kids. Think about football, for example. Younger kids may not understand the more complex rules of the game, but both they and adults alike can enjoy playing and seeing the incredible skills of real players. We’re always researching these kinds of elements that can be appreciated and enjoyed regardless of age, and looking to add them to our games.”

Additionally, Masuda believes that Pokémon has enjoyed such longevity because they have never “overhauled” the series and created a rift between players who had enjoyed earlier versions of the games and newer players:
“Pokémon has been consistent in delivering a positive player experience over the past 20 years and, as such, we’re seeing a real nostalgia coming through from those who played the earlier versions of the games. I think the fact that we’ve never overhauled the series and created a divide between the old and the new is also one of the reasons Pokémon has enjoyed such longevity.”

When asked if the main Pokémon games would ever see a migration from handheld systems to home consoles, Masuda had the following to say:
“When coming up with the idea of Pokémon, what we really wanted to create was something where people could get together and have fun trading, battling, showing off their Pokémon collection, and just talking about their own adventures with the game. Handheld consoles and devices offer us the best way to achieve this vision.”

Finally, the EDGE interview concluded with Masuda sending out a thank you message to all of the Pokémon fans who have played the games over the years.
“What I’m most grateful for is that so many fans have supported Pokémon all this time. Without them, Pokémon wouldn’t be where it is today, and Pokémon Go certainly wouldn’t have seen the phenomenal success that it has so far. I really love getting to meet and talk with Pokémon fans, and they’ve given me so many great memories throughout the years. As a recent example, not long ago I gave a speech at the Japan Expo in Paris, and I was blown away that over 3,000 people came to hear it. Pokémon Go seems to have really resonated with people and has huge numbers of players all over the world. It’s far beyond anything I had ever imagined.”

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will release for the Nintendo 3DS on November 16th worldwide and November 23rd in Europe.

The Pokémon Sun and Moon demo is getting datamined as we speak, and Alolan [BLACKOUT]Dugtrio[/BLACKOUT] is just... I don't have the words...

Bad news:

There appears to be no dolphin Pokémon after all. :waa:

Don't know about you guys, but my Alola team looks dope.

So with all that's been happening recently, turns out that the so called "chinese leaks" turned out to be true, originally i was disgusted by the stark changes they were doing to the main core of the game, but slowly i'm starting to get warm to them.

Surf's up dude. I got a good laugh when I saw that. Needed it too since I finally started Bloodborne. As far as the starters. I like Rowlet, and Popplio's final evo's off the bat. Luchalitten has grown on me though. At the very least it's not as bad as Emboar, who easily remains my least fave fire starter, and second worst starter only behind Meganium.

BTW, anyone know if Ash-Greninja from the demo is transferable to Sun&Moon? If so, can you soft reset for different natures? I wouldn't replacing my current naive, protean, mixed Greninja if so.

Yes, Ash-Greninja and certain items earned in the demo are transferable to SM and without the need of Pokébank.

You can Pokemon Link it to your SuMo games once you have them, along with a few item you receive in the demo. The demo saves your progress after completing it, so I can't soft reset now unless I redownload, but I assume you can. Someone else would have to test it.
