Um, technically, the comics in which the Adam West series was based on are still in continuity.

It was really only the sci-fi, Batman-fight-giant-apes-and-aliens comics that were removed. The campy 60s stuff is still alive and well.

Of the suits, I'd have to say I like THE DARK KNIGHT suit the best. It appears to be the most agile of the costumes, and it has a fantastic "urban warrior" edge to it. It's great stuff.

B89 if I had to choose, though there are still things about it that bug me.

Still the perfect blend of practicality vs. terror tactics as far as I'm concerned.

The DarkKnight suit is crap, it looks like Ironman with bat ears, the BB suit was dull crap, the Batman and Robin Bat suit was no big deal, Val Kilmer's suit was better than the bale suits, Batman Returns was very good, but 89 Batman's suit was and still is the best, just incredible.

It's awesome how the cape connects with the costume. It looks perfect and like a bats wing. Also it hides batman's arm movements making it hard to anticipate his next move and looks very mysterious/mythical like the comics.

They still haven't improved on this aspect 5 movies later.

Exactly. The way the cowel connects to the cape has been the only modification to the batsuit that I've actually really liked and preferred over regular continutity. It's reminicent of the shading difference certain species of bats have between their heads and the rest of their bodies:
