i've lost all faith in x-play...

...not that i ever really had any (adam sassler makes me want to kill a mockingbird).

but, anyways, i was watching it the other day (i haven't watched it in months) because they had a 'metal gear' themed episode. so, they reviewed all the more recent metal gear games. so, they reviewed metal gear 3: snake eater, and gave it a 4. fair enough, it's not a perfet game, the camera was pretty bad (that's honestly the only flaw i can think of). so then they review snake eater: substinence, and gave it a 4, too. um... not only did they completely fix the camera, but they added more special features than most delux edition dvd's, and an awesome multi-player and online mode. and somehow it still gets a 4 out of 5?

if that's not screaming "look at how biased we are!" then i don't know what is.

so, whatev... it kind of irritated me, just thought i'd share.

Oh no! Someone didn't give MGS3 a perfect score, they're obviously biased.

Honestly, get the **** over it. Their review of it shouldn't take away how much you value it.

BTW, "to kill a mockingbird" is not an expression.

The thing is Subsistence DID deserve a 5. It took a very good game and made it one of the best games ever made.

I've never cared for X-Play or this channel. They really severed the bridge with me when they ripped Roethlisberger. Is it just me, or does Webb look like a zombie?

They gave KH2 a 4, even though a fan might think it deserved more. They gave Budokai tenkaichi2 a four even though a fan might think it deserved more. And they gave *shockers* Scarface a four even though fans might want it to get more. Good games get fours. Those are games that have high hopes and meets them. The only games that gets fives are ones that have high veiws and complete surpass them or meet them, but still just win you over alittle because you can't believe the game met them.
Honestly, Substance is just a relaunched game with better graphics and a little more extra stuff. Still, its the same game. It couldn't possibley have gotten a higher score. Seriously.
Look at Conkers badfurday. They gave that a five. Conker live and reloaded got a 4. Do you see what I'm getting at? Good.

their review didn't take away anything from how much i value it. by xplay's own review standards, however, substinence deserved a 5. simple as that. they didn't give it one because... that's right! they're biased. okay?

and i know 'to kill a mockingbird' is a book, you dick... that doesn't make 'adam sessler makes me want to kill a mockingbird' any less a valid statement than 'adam sessler makes me want to punch a kitten'. same thing. get off of your little imaginary pedistal.

Me neither, and my guess on why they still gave it a 4 instead of a 5 even though they fixed pretty much all the flaws and gave a few other extras is because deep down, it's still the same f**king game. And this is comming from a Metal Gear fanboy.
