Hardy is up to his eyeballs in movies right now so I'd be surprised if he is still attached...

Oh naw, it wasn't Sam Fisher (though it'd be cool). It was John Clarke who Tom Hardy was reportedly eyed for.

Actually, it was both of them.

Yea, Hardy's had to drop out of a few projects because his load of upcoming projects is insanely crowded, so a Sam Fisher movie's probably up in the air right now.

Whoa, well I hope that he does a Sam Fisher movie. I think there are quite a few people waiting for a Splinter Cell film.

I think Hardy would be boss as either Sam Fisher or John Clark (both is overexposure though), but with his crazy workload, who knows.

We've definitely got Fassbender coming for Assassin's Creed though.

Does anyone else feel this can be bigger if they moved it away from January?

Possibly. But Taken showed people are willing to show up for such a movie in January. I just don't think this will do that though.

Taken had Neeson as a main draw, outside of the Star Trek films most people don't really even know who Pine is imo this will be the test to see if Pine can draw audiences and carry a film on his own.

I like Pine but I don't think this film will be a hit. I could be wrong but I don't think the studio moved it to January because they thought it had a lot of potential.

I'm curious to see if Pine can play a character besides Jim Kirk. This doesn't look like a big stretch for him. Another cocky young hotshot action hero.

Better then leaving it to die on Christmas. It had no chance there. So I still have a little bit of hope.

Jack Ryan is suppose to be a cocky hotshot? I am not getting that vibe from the trailer, but I definitely could be wrong.

I'm curious to see if Branagh can go five minutes without hamming it up as the villain.

Can Branagh go five minutes without hamming it up as any character?

Do we want Branagh to go five minutes without hamming it up?

mmm... ham... mmm

Given his roles in Zero Dark Thirty and White House Down, I'd be cool with Jason Clarke as John Clark. Especially when Clarke hits his 50's, he'll be playing great grizzled old bastards.

I want Jason Clarke in everything. I love that guy

This. Thousand times yes.

Saw those the other day. Much better then the early stuff. Might have to get that Keira poster. :)

Costner is really getting back into the game these days, man. Got two flicks he's starring in this year as a lead and two more supporting roles.
