One actor playing a superhero character in four seperate theatrically released movies is, as far as I can tell, a record only matched by Christopher Reeve.

Wesley Snipes, Tobey Maguire, and many of the X-Men cast are on three. Halle Berry has been in four movies but played Catwoman as well as Storm. Michael Gough played Alfred four times.

This film hasn't been theatrically released. Not to be an ass or anything. :woot:

If Wolverine gets a trilogy then Hugh may enter the record books.

Didn't the guy who played Jimmy Olsen in the Reeve movies also play him in Supergirl, giving him the record of 5? Or does he not count?

Of course, if Jimmy Olsen counts, so should Commissioner Gordon (Pat Hingle) and Alfred Pennyworth (Michael Gough) both with 4 movies, as they are also superhero characters, just not heroes themselves.

Wellllll... Reeve Also played Superman.... in the Superman poster in Supergirl. So you could make the case for Reeve having 5 (Although it probably wouldn't hold up in court)

No, they're comic book characters, not Superhero characters.

That's more of an appearance, than a performance. Which is likely what Kevin is referring to.

Otherwise, we could also say Stallone played the Terminator. :o

I wonder how many people will get that last part.

It honestly doesn't matter unless all 4 films they played in were good. In both cases, neither win.

I have to wait till 2009 to see this movie? Damn...

do, direct to TV movies counts?

cause, techinally, Bill Bixby, played Banner in 6 tv movies, as well as the show (though, "Bride of the Incredible Hulk"and"The Return of the Incredible Hulk" were orginally released as tv movies, they could be counted as two part epsodes of the show)
just saying

I had mentioned that earlier in another thread. That's cool and I'm sure he'll be there for a 5th and 6th time.

Rebecca Romain was in X1-X3, and Punisher in obviously different roles.

how many films did connery, moore and Brosnan do, respectively, as james bond?

As far as I know, Connery did 6, Moore did 8 and Brosnan just 4.

Although i think Wolverine has at times been put too much in the foreground i'm glad Jackman is still committed to this franchise. Him making more Wolverine (movie(s) probably has to do with benefits for the smaller films he makes but even so this character is what gave him his big break in the first place. It's good that he hasn't forgotten that.

It wouldn't. :woot:

If i'm not mistaken they planned on doing a cameo with Reeve as Superman but he bailed out hence the poster.
